POFQ--what's the best

Building/room/view at POFQ and why do you think that?

I chose Bldg 7 because of its proximity to POR. All buildings are close to each other so none is that far from bus stop, pool or food court. Obviously some are closer that others but not by much.

Take std view. We had "parking" lot but there is green between bldgs & parking & parking lot is not noisy as it would be at a motel. Our curtains are closed until we leave for park and it is dark when we return. When would a water view be of benefit?

We had building 5 when we stayed there in 1999. It was great! Quiet, close to buses, food court, and main building. We loved it!!! I think buildings 7 and 1 may be the furthest from the buses and main building- check the map from this site- it's great!

I agree with Sheriff. We had a parking lot view also, but I couldn't see a car through the beautiful trees. We were in building three. Very quiet, close enough to food court, close enough to bus stop for us and 8-month old baby. Walked out of the room, took a right, bus stop was maybe three minutes away. We loved building three.
It's such a small resort,though,that any building is a short enough walk, unless there is a disability issue.
So far, POFQ is my favorite resort, but I plan on trying them all.

near the food court, near the arcade for the kids, near the buses, not far from the parking lot, right across from the laundry
we request a first floor, garden view - facing the quiet pool - so very, very convenient. LOVE this resort.

We also stayed in building 3 Standard View. I think the parking lot view (that didn't exist because of the trees) rooms were better than the inside rooms because no one was walking/loitering by our room. While we were there last week we had to constantly walk by people hanging outside their rooms smoking or talking on cell phones near the Rue D' Baga in order to get to the beignets. I'm just glad they weren't our neighbors near the parking lot.

Building 6

Absolutely NO chance of looking at a parking lot and still close to everything without ANY cut thru foot traffic.

For proximity to evrything you cant beat building Five. It was great never more than 15 steps to pool, laundry, food court and has a back path straight to bus stop.

I've stayed in building four my last to trips to the POFQ, and I love it. It's about a minute to the food court and the bus stop, and only a few minutes to the pool and boat dock.

We stayed in room #7340 building #7 about 2 weeks ago. Great room. It was a corner room facing the river. Easy walk to pool & food court. Close to POR-Riverside. Very quiet. Great resort!!!

We had building 5, standard view overlooking the courtyard. First floor. It was perfect. I will be requesting same room/area whenever we go back!

We were also in #5 last trip, and it was a great location. We were on the 3rd floor and it was SO quiet up there! We were on the side that faced the courtyard, absolutely beautiful. We'll try for #5 next trip too.
