I switched my reservation to POFQ for my October trip. Is there a particular area I should request to be in? I want to be close to the food court. (My family - big food court fans!) The pool looks cool, too. TIA!

PO-FQ is a wonderful resort and I'm so glad it is reopening. Here is a link to the resort map:

On our first trip, before we knew to ask for anything, we were assigned to building 7. Since then we've been in 4 and 5. Both of those buildings were great -- close to the food court, bus stop, and to the pool (5 is my favorite). I believe that one building is designated for smokers, so you should check that out. (I could never be in such a building.)

Overall, the resort is quite compact, so you are never very far from anything. Being in the buildings with a riverview might be nice if you spend much time in your room. (There are no balconies though.)

Enjoy!

And...if you get tired of your food court you can waltz on over to Riverside and try the court over there. We are big food court people too, and I'm glad FQ will be open so we can stroll on over to the Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory(FQ food court). Enjoy your stay. :)

we stayed in building #4 last year and it was awesome...only steps away from the lobby, food court, parking lots, main bus stop, and maybe a 1 minute walk to the pool...

This is actually our favorite moderate.. very compact and easy walk to everything. Building #4 is the good one as people have said, however, we have stayed in almost all of them and even the one that is farthest away isn't that bad.

The pool is great and the theming beautiful (and it was just refurbished so should be in really good shape).

We often walk over the POR - it's an easy walk and a nice view of the river. We have also rented the surry bikes and gone over the trails for them - that was fun as well. The boat to Downtown disney takes longer than the bus, but is a nice view especially at night. I think it has a lot of extras for a moderate (with the water "toys", bikes and boat to DTD).. and we really like the smaller size (keep an eye out for bunnies, they are everywhere)
