POFQ vs. AKL - Faster Access to Parks?

Hi guys-
I need your help. I just decided to take a quick trip down for MVMCP in mid-December. We usually stay at a monorail or Epcot area resort because we like quick, easy access to the parks. Since this trip was not planned, I'm trying to manage the budget. I'm debating between POFQ and AKL standard view (no AP disc at WL!!). I've read that the POFQ bus makes all the POR stops too, so that has me a little concerned. On the other hand, I expect we'll spend a lot of time at MK and AKL is a pretty long way away. Anyone have thoughts, experience, or opinions on which would be better?

I have never stayed at AKL. POFQ buses are frequent, and only stop at POR if not full. POFQ is the first stop, so choice of seats is good. It never took long to get to any park from POFQ - and we loved the atmosphere! Good luck with your decision.

we did a split trip between POFQ and AKL the last time we were there and transport from POFQ was MUCH better than that from AKL... much quicker to all the parks (except AK LOL) even w/stopping at POR... we preferred POFQ over AKL also!

It took us 13 minutes to get from AKL to MK in July. Never once did my impatient family ask when we would get somewhere.

Theres no guarantee on any transportation at DW. You will be close to some things, further away from others, and you can never really count on any kind of time limits for any bus or boat. Transportation at DW is a catch as catch can thing. We hope for the best and take whatever we get. I would make my choice on which hotel you would enjoy more and not on which bus you think will be quicker.
