POFQ questions!?

Have they recently refurbished all the rooms in the French Quarter? I know they did a few in Riverside..anyone have recent pictures? Also, where is the best place to stay (close to the buses and food court? Thanks in advance for any help you may provide!!

Yes, they did the POFQ rooms before they did POR. When we were staying in POFQ in January 2011, they were in the process of renovating. We were in a redone room in February 2012 and it was nice, but I do not have any pictures. If you go onto the Disney website, there is a picture of the redone rooms there. During our last visit in Feb 2012, they were working on an area outside the lobby but it appeared that all rooms were done. We stayed in building 7 3rd floor last time which seemed to be a bit of a walk back and forth to get drinks from the refillable mugs. I would probably want to stay closer to the lobby. After a long day at the parks, it does get a bit tiring to hike back and forth to use the refillable mugs and bring them back to the rooms before you hits the parks. Have fun!

It is completely refurbished. We always request building 4 because it is located next to the bus stop and food court.

Don't worry too much about which building to request. You can walk clear from one end of then resort to the other in less than five minutes. All seven buildings are close. (We usually request Building Two for our own sentimental reasons, and because it's close to the pool and the boat launch. Also, there are no parking lot views from any room in that building. The same could be said for several others, though.)

All rooms at FQ & Riverside have been refurbed. Allears.net has pics. Some are of the old rooms, so be sure you are clicking on new rooms.

We stayed in a refurbished room at POFQ last October, really nice! The entire resort has been refurbished, POR is completely done now as well.
