POFQ...questions and advice WANTED!!!

The "justification” of equal pricing is now gone. In that case I would stay at POFQ. As I have always stated POFQ is my favorite moderate. Since you have a car make a reservation at Jiko's for dinner in the evening. After dinner go to the viewing area to look at the animals with the night vision glasses. Check out the lobby, pool and other areas. This way if you get a great deal in the future you will be able to make your own informed decision.

Congratulations on getting a better rate. I would keep calling up until your trip to see what the current discount rates are for both resorts. Who knows you may do even better then that.

Just got back from the first week of October and I can honestly say there isn't a bad bldg. The resort is very small and quaint no matter where you end up you will be close. We were in Bldg 1 on the second floor and loved it. We actually got a water view and didn't pay for it. And it was a good water view too, you could see the waterway to and from DTD just sitting in our room!

And across the way was bldg 2 as we faced the interior courtyard. We overlooked (and excuse my spelling) ponchatrain way.

We had a very short and quiet walk to the main bldg and were very close to the dock to DTD and the pool. It was awesome. The foodcourt is a little smaller and a bit smaller selection in refridge goods than I would have liked but no biggie.

What a difference a day can make....after all that...we took a vote and boys and hubby want to stay at AKL!

And...because we are all home due to Hurricane Wilma...no school or work....hubby and I got to talking and he now wants to consider staying at the Contemporary!!! Geeze talk about your upgrade!!

But of course I checked FL rates and nothing is available...I checked regular rates and a room was offered at about $3000 for a 3 nite stay.....is that CRAZY???????

Oh my! I can't believe you people aren't sick of me yet!

But, another poster had said that half the fun of these boards is planning someone elses trips....so, I am giving ya'll the opportunity!! ha ha

My reservations are still set at POFQ (at the FL rate)....but we are probably switching to AKL.....

And in the meantime my hubby has me searching opinions on WL, Poly, and YC.

Contemporary is not available for our dates.

Maybe I should start yet another thread???
