I think this happens to me everytime. I just changed our reservations from POR to POFQ? DO you think this was a good idea?

We've stayed at POR a couple times before and really liked it. We thought that staying at POFQ would be a nice change of pace especially since it was just rehabbed.

Anyone who has stayed at both (or either one) please chime in with honest opinons.

I have stayed at POR 4 times and loved it. We were there about 2 weeks ago and noticed the bus service was not quite as good as usual at POR. Often the bus would fill up at POFQ and would not come over to the POR depots. For that reason only, I would try POFQ because it has only gotten "more crowded" since 5/26. Regardless of your choice, you'll have a wonderful time!:Pinkbounc

POFQ for a few reasons

1) the bus service...I would choose POFQ for this reason alone....they ALWAYS pick up at FQ first and most of the time drop there first.

2) the size of the resort...it is not a far walk to the pool, lobby, etc from ANYWHERE in the resort. very compact, but doesnt really feel that way...and it seemed VERY quiet. and if you like boatwrights and the POR store...you can walk there in about 5 minutes...there is a path between them along the river and the POR lobby is the first thing you come to

3) recently rehabbed. the rooms are in great shape

We just stayed at POFQ last week. So glad this resort has reopened although we love POR we REALLY enjoyed our stay at POFQ. The rehabbed rooms were wonderful and the cms so friendly. Cant say enough about the DTD boat capts either they were great. Think you will really enjoy your stay the grounds and fontains are beautiful.

We love POFQ. I don't think you can go wrong staying there.

We will be there in July....:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Have a great time.

we are staying there for the 4th of July and was wondering the same thing. we stayed at POR back in 2002 when the FQ was closed. I hope we made the right choice- Im thinking with that dragon slide we cant go wrong with our kids! :sunny:

We stayed in POR and it was quite a walk from our room to refill our mugs, go to the store, go to the jacuzzi, etc. It was my first stay in a moderate and I couldn't help but feel the big difference from our stays in deluxes. I thought the transportation took quite a long time and we were often on crowded buses, or wait to wait for another bus to come along when one would fill up. We were in Magnolia Terrace, which was the one recommended to me, but I thought it was still quite far from everything and needed to be rehabbing--(which now it is, I hear). That said, I loved the look at POFQ and would be willing to give a moderate another try if the buses were more convenient, the common areas looked kept up around the building we are residing in, and everything wasn't such a walk. Is this the case? I absolutely love New Orleans and the New Orleans square is my favorite part of Disneyland--how I wished they'd make a French Quarter deluxe! BUT, if it has just been rehabbed should I think of trying a moderate again??? I haven't been to POFQ for more than a few seconds to walk around, and it looked really cute, but you still can't tell the feel of a resort (or know the service) unless you stay there.
Thanks for any help!!!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
