POFQ or POR??

Hi all!
CBR is my family's favorite, but with the renovations this summer, I'm thinking of switching. My dds love the pool at CBR, as well as the laid back atmosphere. Do you think POFQ or POR would be a comparable switch? If not, I'd love your opinion. We're only staying 2 nights, dds will be 15 and 12. Deluxe not an option.

The pool at POR prob better for kids ages, BUT we only stay there if we stay Preferred room. The resort is Huge and some rooms are far from main area. Preferred are near South depot ( main bus stop) , restaurant, food court, main And quiet pools, store, bar area etc. there is just so much and we enjoy the boat to Disney springs.
POFQ is great but 1 pool, and it's a bit more childish but very popular. no restaurant , smaller, so u can book any room, quieter.. to me, bit less kids..
U do have access to Both pools at POR and POFQ...
I really love both.
Good luck deciding. They really are both great mods.

POR because....
1. it has beautiful quiet pools that are available for very early morning and late night swims. pofq has no quiet pool and their feature pool is locked up at these times.
2. POR Quick service food court has more offerings, and they have a table service restaurant. pofq has no table service restaurant.
3. Personally, I just don't like the Mardi Gras theming at pofq, while I love the gorgeous landscaping, trees, flowers, fountains, gazebo, and bridges that make me so happy just to walk around at POR

If CBR is your favourite, then I think that POR is more likely to be what you are looking for in a resort. Like CBR, POR is a large resort with multiple bus stops. POR has a good themed pool with several 'quiet' pools amongst the buildings. CBR has different 'islands", POR has mansions and a bayou area. Both CBR and POR have a sit down restaurant.

POR also has access to POFQ and its amenities and a boat ride to DS. It has YeeHaa Bob entertainment on some nights, carriage rides in horse and buggy and surrey bike rentals. If you book preferred you get the convenience of a smaller resort plus the amenities and space of a large resort. Some rooms at CBR sleep 5, also some rooms at POR sleep 5.

POFQ is a small resort, only has one pool, no sit down restaurant, no extra amenities. However, it does only have one bus stop and don't forget the tasty beignets! Many people really love POFQ.

Bottom line is either is good, but POR has more features in common with CBR.

I would show DD's the two resorts online and get their feedback, but I expect that POR would be the better choice for them.

What time does the POFQ pool close?

I just booked POFQ. I went with it over POR because my son is 4 so more compact is better, I think he'll love the dragon slide and the splash pad, the theming appeals to me more because I love New Orleans and you can get beignets at the food court!!!!!

Currently the feature pool hours are 10am to 9pm which might work fine for you, but I like to swim at 7am and it's not convenient to walk all the way over to POR every morning, so the lack of any leisure pools at POFQ is a big drawback for me. I certainly understand why a 4 year old would love the sea monster slide and splash play area at POFQ. Enjoy!
