Long time listener, first time caller here. Haven't been to WDW in 12 or so years. Stayed on property once, 20 years ago (Swan or Dolphin), stay3d off property twice since then.

Hubby and I are going to WDW in February, first time without kids. Planning to spend a lot of time in the parks. We are late 40s, fairly active. Interested in comfy accommodations, decent food choices for something on the go or later night. No interest in pools this trip. We will spend one day in each park.

That being said, would you go for POFQ river view room, no dining plan for $2300 or CSR standard room with dining for $2600? We already switched from CBR because of the construction. It might sound like a no brainer to many to go with CSR and dining but if POFQ is that much better then we would prefer to go with it.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hm. Tough choice. Keep in mind that CSR is also undergoing construction. That's one reason we can get it so cheap.

I much prefer POFQ because of the size of the resort, the single bus stop, and the theming. But that is a big price difference. For that, I might suck it up and go with CSR- especially if I were not going with kids (who make long bus waits and long walks so much more challenging).

Yep, no brainer CSR with dining.

Your criteria is comfortable rooms, dining options, and good park transportation...CSR wins all three of those.

We prefer CSR to either of the PO, so would go with CSR especially with dining for only 300 more. I think CSR is also the better choice for an adults only trip, and quieter resort. While CSR is under construction, it is much less intrusive than what is going on at CBR and does not affect the dining which you said is important. Busing is about the same no matter where you stay on property so shouldn't be a factor. The only transportation that POFQ has different is the boat to DS if you're looking for that. It really is just a matter of which theme you prefer as to which is the better choice. Enjoy your planning.

CSR with dining ... :goodvibes
- very much an adult resort
- has more dining options of all kinds than most hotels while POFQ has only a food court
- CSR is going through room renovations so that would be my only request I make; new room
- only $300 more for dining, especially if DDP, yes!
