I already have a reservation at a preferred room at POFQ for October. But my travel agent just told me that I can now get CS for 20% cheaper. What would you guys do? I love how small POFQ is.

I didn't think POFQ had preferred rooms. :confused3

I personally preferred POFQ over CSR. Loved the quaintness of the resort, and loved the fact there was only one bus stop (and we only shared once with POR).

I can't offer any insight on the CSR but I can tell you that we stayed at POFQ earlier this year and LOVED IT! It's beautiful and just the right size....no bus sharing and only one stop so it's a straight shot to the parks. Also, the boat ride to Downtown Disney is fantastic.

I really don't think you can go wrong with POFQ!

For 20% off I would definitely go for CSR! Think of the extra souvenirs you could get with that $$! Yes, CSR is bigger than POFQ but it's a gorgeous resort with a laid-back feel. When we stayed there we didn't feel it was too big--buses aren't shared so it's a quick ride to any of the parks, and even though there are 4 stops they go quickly. Pools were never crowded, there was never much of a line at the front desk or at the food court and store.

POFQ! I love it for many things, but also the rooms are refurbished and have two queen beds, whereas CSR still has doubles. Don't know if this is a deciding factor for you but it is for me - I like my space! :rotfl: Don't know what your dates are but POR should also have a room-only discount at the same time and they have refurbished rooms with queens as well.

pofq....Cs could have convention...and its so huge. it doesnt matter about the full service restaurant there either it stinks

I'm sorry, I meant water view room.

Is the 20% difference between the two due to the room location request? If so, why not see if you can get Standard or Garden at POFQ which would bring down the cost?

POFQ! That's what I would do! :) I love the boat ride to DTD! I can walk to POR and use their amenities too! 2 food courts and 2 themed pools!

Nope, not true! CSR was the first of the mods to have all queen beds. It is a lovely resort, definitely spread out though. The pool, if you have kids, is so wonderful. It has a great slide, water play area, playground, dig site with sand, arcade and beach volleyball court all right there. I will be there in two weeks and wouldn't stay at any other mod!

Csr has had queen beds for quite some time now. It was the first mod to get them.

OP, I have stayed at both and enjoy both but prefer CSR since it has a much larger main pool, as well as three quiet pools. I also like that CSR does not share busses with any other resorts. CSR has more dining options but I do love the boat to DTD at pofq and you also have POR's restaurant and food court.

Pofq is smaller which is.convenient, however we missed having quiet pools.

You can't go wrong but to me saving money is always good!

We'll be staying at CSR for the first time this year. We chose it over the PO resorts since we stayed at Riverside two years ago and although it was a nice resort, the buses at the end of the night were packed since they were carrying guests for both PO resorts. They seem to fill up the fastest of the Moderate resorts.

We've stayed at both and would always choose POFQ over CSR. CSR was nice enough and the pool area is great, but everything is just so darn spread out and we really didn't like the Pepper Market food court. It was our 1st time staying on property and we experienced a convention while we were there. We didn't care for that kind of atmosphere.

We just got back from a quick trip to POFQ. We loved everything about it and would stay there again in a heartbeat!

I stayed at CSR last year; thought it was an excellent resort. Yes it is on the large size but it definitely wasn't too big. It was pretty & well themed, I also thought the Pepper Market was excellent. Especially breakfast for a QS credit if you are staying with the dining plan!

CSR for sure. The place is beautiful. FQ is gaudy and the food court there is filthy

I would no question go for POFQ! The smallness is fantastic! So easy to get to the food court for mug refills and late night snacks and one bus stop is fantastic!

I would not recommend CSR unless you are on the dinning plan due to the nature of the service - or, you don't plan to ever eat at the resort. We loved the grounds and bus service (our favorite), but we had a very bad experience with our room and mousekeeping. For that reason, I'm not willing to give it a second try.

POFQ - I want to stay here next time, however, we are quiet pool users. I know we can go to POR to use their pools, but to me, that isn't an easy option. I love the look of the rooms after the updates....

We just got back from CSR today. LOVE the resort. Incredibly gorgeous grounds. We stayed in the perfect building (standard, not preferred). Cabanas 8a. Its right by the main pool & bus stop #4. LOVED it! rooms are nice, mousekeeping was amazing. The main pool is great. slide is fun. Love the fact that you can get QS at the mainpool and also refill your mug. They also have a bar and arcade and also beach volleyball. Poolside activities are great too. We hardly went to the main building except once to eat breakfast at the peppermarket. What an incredible value for a QS credit. Breakfast buffet is really good.

Port Orleans is gorgeous, and the boat to DTD is a huuuuge bonus. Im personally not a fan of POFQ, i like POR better. But the boat to DTD is enough to sway me to POFQ. Lol. I love DTD what can i say! :goodvibes
