I was looking at the pictures of the new POFQ rooms. Anybody going soon, please check the following!!

The room shown does not look like it's a connection room.

Will the rooms that have connecting doors have the bench????

It looks like they did not upgrade the heating/cooling system. The individual unit still appears to the be there. Can the room be kept cold??? I hope they didn't add the dreaded sensors talked about in the Pop Century rooms.

Can the bench be moved to sit under the clothes rod behind the curtain?? I'm the only female in my family, so being able to sit down on the bench behind the curtain would be great for getting dressed instead of in the bathroom sitting on the edge of the tub or commode :-)

Is there an available plug near the nightstand?? My hubby uses a CPAP machine that he has to plug in - need to know whether we need to bring the heavy duty extension cord or not.

Thanks!!!

Carol

I am extremely interested in any information on the newly remodeled POFQ. I am going to WDW in April and am curious as to what my family can expect. We have never stayed here before.
Any information would be appreciated.

Hi Carol:

What is this thing about sensors in pop century and keeping the room cool. I will get migraines if I do not have cooling in the heat.

Thanks for any info,

Deb.

I am going in May and am very curious about the pool and if they do have a kiddie pool too. I have a 5 year old and 2 year old and think the 2 year old will be intimidated by the bigger pool. Any info on this will be helpful and put my mind at ease since I am disappointed I can not get and AP rate at the Coronado Springs. That kiddie pool looks awesome and am crossing my fingers that POFQ has something similar.::MinnieMo

:wave:When I stayed at POFQ not too long before the renovations I didnt have a problem keeping the room cold at all. In fact, whenever I came back from the parks I used to have to turn the air conditioning down due to Mousekeeping turning it alllllllll the way up! I too am curious about this sensor at POP. What is it????

Also, our family had connecting rooms and they both had a bench so Im sure this is still the case.

I really hope those a/c don't have sensors. I like it freezing cold!!! :) :) :)

Can somebody check out the food court and find out if they have any cajun specialties, beignets, etc.

Also I'm curious about the water pressure in the shower. ;)

I would also love some info...I just checked w/ CRO about my reservation. I thought when I changed our reservation last week (from Pop) they told me the only thing available was Riverside. The person I spoke w this morning siad we were book for POFQ!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc . I am really happy about this but I don't know much about FQ.

Hi everyone!

In regards to the sensor thermostat, I believe it is the same over at the Loews' hotels at Universal. I believe it senses if there is a person in the room via a motion detector to stay on, and turns itself off when it does not sense anyone in the room. I personally did not like it, especially coming back from a very hot, humid day. I wish I knew more about it. I did call maintenance, and they were able to keep the air on at the temp we wanted. Maybe it works the same way. I will be at POFQ in May for my honeymoon, and am quite excited about staying in a refurbished room! woohooo!!

where can we see the new POFQ room photos we cant wait for our next visit
