We won't have enough money to be Poly people ( :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :confused3 ), so it's down to CSR, POFQ and POR. (Mom doesn't like the idea of CBR.) It will most likely be POFQ, so give me everything you've got on those three resorts! Please; you'd make my day!!!!!!!

TIA!

CSR - you could still have a small beach and a tropical feel with the Cabanas. The pyramid pool is cool and a great substitute for the volcano plus a huge hot tub. The lake is beautiful at night with all the lights from the buildings, who needs the electric water parade. Wonderful to walk around it at night too ! Great transportation and a few extra upscale pluses like the food court - we call it the deluxe-moderate resort at our house !

It's POFQ! So...I need everything HELPFUL about it please! TIA!

Haven't stayed there, but have walked it and eaten there. We haven't stayed because our gang thinks it's too quiet ;) But you do have some advantage and that is it is a sister resort to POR so you can use all the amenities over there. That gives you two themed pools ! Another great plus is the boat to DTD. That is a treat in itself. I do believe you are first on the buses that they share with POR so you should get seats :goodvibes POFQ has lots of dedicated fans and I am sure they will be jumping on to give you lots of warm fuzzies about the resort.

HAVE FUN :wizard:

We stayed at POFQ in 02 and will be staying there again in December. I like it more than CR because of the quietness and the decor. Some good things about the resort:

We were in building 7 - the furtherest from the lobby and foodcourt and yet it wasn't really that far away. This was good since my mom can't walk great distances.

Not only did we have POFQ's foodcourt, game room, pool and grounds but also POR which are just as nice.

POFQ is the first stop on the bus stop list so there were almost always seats.

It really wasn't that far from the MK, Epcot or the Studios. AK was a bit further but even that wasn't as bad.

The rooms were a nice size and nicely styled.

Everyone there was very friendly and very helpful.

Thanks Hopper Fan! Did you guys eat at Boatwrights?

:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes
Thanks x100,000,000!

Also, Thank You! to PrincessTeddyBear...were you in Magnolia Terrace or Oak Bend?

We have stayed at POFQ several times, most recently in March. The resort was refurbished not long ago and everything was really fresh and clean in our room, the bed was wonderful. We really like the food court. POFQ is our favorite moderate. Have a great time!

We just got back from POFQ. It was our 5th time there. It's a great resort. Everything was spotless and looked new. They just went through a rehab recently. The CM's are very friendly and helpful. We had towel animals almost everyday when we returned to our room. We have stayed at every moderate except POR and keep returning to POFQ when selecting a moderate.

One thing nice is you are the first pickup and droped off for the bus service to the parks. We got a seat everytime and never had to stand.

Kids loved the pool. I lost count how many times they went down the slide.

The only thing the resort lacks is a sit down table service restraunt. The food court is nice, though. You made a great choice. Enjoy!

LVSWL: Thanks a lot! Can I get details (where {Mag. Terrace or Oak Manor}/when you stayed)?

Really? How awesome!! Thanks a million, johnnyr! Do you know if POFQ guests can use the POR pools?

You know it's hard to believe that after 4 stays we never ate at Boatwrights - although it was always busy ! A good sign ! I don't know why but we tend to resort hop for our dinners out instead of eating where we are staying. I guess it kinda extends our magic to other places and gives us a peek at other hotels. We do like the food court and even drove there to eat one trip while at CBR because we didn't like their food court. OH - and don't forget to get some beignets at the FQ food court - yummy in the tummy :goodvibes

Yes. That's another great thing about staying there. You get to use everything at POR too :cool1: :cool1:

Don't forget the boat to DTD. It's a nice quiet ride and very relaxing.

Hopper and johnnyr, thanks for your replies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In fact, you guys just made my night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :wizard:
Please make sure to set your clocks forward an hour depending on your region!

P.S. What are beignets?

Ahhhhh! The beignets are fabulous. They are a fried dough pastry covered in powdered sugar  Mmmmmmm! You will be hooked after just one!

Beignets are like yummy little square doughnuts, they are COVERED in powdered sugar and a mess to eat but oh so delicious!

They are originally from the Cafe du Monde on the Mississippi River in the French Quarter of New Orleans. The cafe serves them along with a coffee that is thick as mud - yuk. They certainly aren't good for your diet, but since they are such an important part of the New Orleans cuisine, you must try one in order to make your experience complete :goodvibes

A lot of things aren't necessarily diet-friendly, but those sound like heaven on EARTH!
Thanks, johnnyr, Hopper_Fan and keys2kingdom! Anything else on PO Resorts, at all?

POFQ is the closest moderate hotel Disney has to a deluxe, IMO. Beatiful grounds, small, great pool, clever touches (French street names), and a really nice food court with great milkshakes and incredible beignets.

It also smells really good in the lobby. Don't know why lol.

I stayed there for 2 years.

Boatwright's in Riverside is terrible, terrible, terrible. One of the worst restaurants in WDW. Don't waste your time or money.
