POFQ in October...

Just booked family vacation (wife and 2 sons ages 5 and 7) at POFQ from Oct. 15 - 23. I hope this falls at a good time. Columbus Day is the 11th and I have heard FLA schools have a few other days off during that period. I also heard the PGA has a tournament Oct 21-24. Do the crowds increase due to the PGA tournament?

We are going down on the 20th of October, so I am interested in this as well.

I looked into info on the golf tournament, and I got the impression that it doesn't effect crowds at the parks at all.

We went in October several years ago, and with the golf tournaments, etc. it seemed the hotels and sit down restaurants for dinner were crowded, but the parks were not too bad.

More, and more US school systems are going to 4 nine week "blocks" and therefore have a one or two week break in October, so the parks are now being more affected. That is why October is now "regular" season price for the resort instead of value season.
