I got a Passholder rate of $129 + tax (about $145) for Port Orleans French Quarter Standard room. Is that good? I stayed at the old Dixie Landings once and it was just o.k. IMO. The CM said FQ is not the old Dixie Landings, she said it's small and quaint. Pop was $111 + tax and I figured for the difference I'd rather stay at a Moderate. We love WL and they had a Passholder rate, but it would be close to $200 with tax for one night and I can't justify that. For $145 at POFQ I can do the whole weekend for just about $200 (we're cheap and don't eat much :lmao: )

I thought DH and I would do a one-night trip in April. We live 1.5 hours from Disney so we do day trips just about once a month. Normally we would just do a day trip in April too, but I figured if that's a good rate we can stay over and do parks for 2 days. I have a couple weeks to cancel so I wanted to get the expert opinions!

POFQ is very nice. The rooms are going to be the same size as POR, but the resort is smaller and I like the landscaping.

Did you try the Swan and Dolphin, in case they had a good rate? Just a thought, in case!

I got that same rate in March for POR. I think it is a pretty good rate for this time of year. I have heard good things about POFQ. I hope you enjoy your trip! :cool1:

New to this forum, Can someone please tell me about the pools the resorts, specifically POFQ and possibly Boardwalk. Are they good for little kids,5 but under 4ft and then 6 yrs. Will they be able to use the slides. Thanks for your help. Going this summer.:yay:

Gracie -
I can't speak to the pool at the Boardwalk, as I've never stayed there. But your kids shouldn't have any problem with the slide at POFQ. I don't remember if they had life jackets there (probably), but kids were allowed to go down with jackets on if they needed them.

The slide is not huge, and is just about right for that age group. POFQ is small and compact. We loved it! (But the Boardwalk would be great! Especially for its proximity to Epcot and MGM!)

I will say, if you are considering the Boardwalk, you should also consider the Beach Club/Yacht Club. THEY have a FABULOUS pool (Stormalong Bay).

I agree - if thinking about a pool at a Boardwalk area resort, the Y/B club resorts have a very nice one!
