I've looked at every map I can find of POFQ. I know the buildings have elevators, but where are they located within the buildings? Can anyone describe the locations or point me to a map that shows them? (Or if they're on the standard map and I just don't know what I'm looking at... which is always possible. ;) )

Also, it looks like each building consists of three sections. Do the 2nd and 3rd floor walkways connect between the sections? (In other words, could you climb the stairs at one end of a building and walk all the way to the other end without going back down to ground level?)

I've found tons of good info on POFQ, including here and on Andre's site, but I'm still wondering about this.

Walkways: yes, they're continuous. They make a full circle aroun each floor.

Never stayed there, but the elevators should be at the center of each building.

The elevators are in the middle of the buildings if that makes sense. The rooms radiate from that point. There are also rooms with ice machines and vending machines next to them. Walk ways are connected with stairs to all levels so yes you can get from the bottom all the way to the top. We stayed in a corner room and the stairs were outside our room.

Go to PortOrleans.org and click on "maps."

As you said, each of the seven buildings at POFQ is indeed in three sections.

But notice that one of the sections in each building has an extra "box" or extension on the end of it. That is the elevator location for each building. The elevators are fairly central to each building, but not always in the exact middle of the three sections.

We have stayed in building 7 twice, and the elevator is at the end of the first section as you walk from the food court (at the point where sections 1 and 2 connect). From there you can access all three sections on any floor through interconnecting walkways. You can also ascend or descend via stairways that are found near the end of each building section.

Hope this helps.

YES! Thank you! I've seen those "boxes" in the photos, they look like a small, square building that is different/not rooms. I figured they were for Mousekeeping/maintenance/etc., but it makes sense that they would also include the elevator areas.
