POFQ - buses? pool? food?

Hi,

DH and myself just decided to take a trip to WDW May 1 - 9. We are taking DNeice 4.5 for her very first trip. We are so excited. I got AAA rate for POFQ but have never stayed there before. Please tell me about the bus system - it there only one stop? This resort shares with POR right? Which resort do the buses pick up first? Is the pool big or small? Is there only a food court here, or a sit down resturant too. Thanks in advance for the help

Good choice! POFQ was our first on property resort that we stayed in and have returned four times becaue we enjoyed it so much. I can honestly say that the bus service was great every time. If they haven't changed anything, you will be the first pickup going to the parks and first drop off coming back. They are stops at POR. The pool was great too. Our kids loved the slide (so did we)! They do have a food court and a while back had a sit down restraunt. I don't know if they reopened the restraunt after the rehab, though. It was nice to have the choice. We got tired of fast food after a few days. If not, you could always take the boat or walk to POR for a sit down meal.

we stayed at POFQ easter week 2003...it may have been because of the time of year, but, we didn't share a bus with POR, but, I think during normal time periods you do...there is only one bus stop ot POFQ and as the above poster noted, FQ guests are picked up first and dropped off first on the way back...this resort is very compact and you're never really very far from anything no matter which building you stay in....the pool is nice...it has a dragon theme and a slide that is the dragons' tongue...the sitdown restaurant was closed when we were there last year and from what i've read, I don't think they are planning on reopening it, but, you never know...there is a sitdown restaurant over at POR and you can take the boat to the DTD area where there are several...the food court is fairly small, but has the basic stuff....you'll also be pretty close to the boardwalk area which has several restaurants as well....have a great trip...
