POFQ--Bldg 2

My DH and I spent a wonderful six days at the World in Nov '14. We had never stayed at FQ and were excited about it. We LOVE POR, and I knew how easily navigable POFQ was rumored to be! Let me just say it was WONDERFUL! It is an easily maneuverable resort. We thought we wanted a building right up front. We had a garden room view assignment and were put in BLDG 2. I was skeptical at first, until I saw how PERFECT it was! If you want easy(easier) access to everything the resort has to offer, building 2 is it. You face the pool, are right next to the boat dock and are within mere steps of the lobby and foodcourt. I know some people have other wants in a resort room, but we overlooked the fountain, not the pool on the side of building 2 and were in heaven!

If those things are important to you, I totally suggest POFQ building 2! Trust me when coming home after a long day in the parks, the short walk to your room will be wonderful!

Agreed. I've stayed at POFQ twice. We were assigned Bldg. 2 the first time and faced the pool, and liked it so much we requested the same bldg. and view the second trip. I think pretty much all the buildings are convenient to everything else, since POFQ is such a small resort (for a moderate), but I think the views from Bldg. 2 are a little better than most. We were on a high floor and could even see the river and the boats on it.

Another POFQ building 2 fan here!! Our first stay at POFQ was in 2012 and we had booked a garden view but were upgraded to a river view at check in. I had requested building 2 and a corner room and both requests were granted. We were given room 2332...best room ever! We had one window that had a view of the pool slide and the other window overlooked the dock. It was the perfect location...we could walk to fill our mugs and be back in the room in or walk to the bus stop in 4 minutes or less.

My family and I will be staying at POFQ in late Sept, we are not sure what Bldg we will get but we know it will be a Garden view. Sounds like we should request bldg 2, even if we don't and get another bldg I have feeling the views will still be nice.

If I remember correctly, I think Bldg. 5 is directly across the feature pool from Bldg. 2, and should have very similar views, and is also in the middle of everything. So if Bldg. 2 pool view is taken, see about Bldg. 5 pool view.
