I will be taking my son to Disney in June and we are staying at a Disney resort for the first time, POFQ. I have a reservation for a river view room. I will be able to do my online check in in about 20 days. Is there anything I should be requesting (understanding that requests are just that). It seems like everything is very close together, so proximity of the room isn't an issue. Just wondering and getting excited for our trip! Thanks!

Take a look at the Touring Plans room view feature for what those rooms offer. I didn't make any special requests for my Garden View when I did Online Check In. There are less of these rooms than anything else besides Kings at the resort.

Hi,
I stayed at POFQ last year. I requested a top floor and near transportation and got a great room. I loved the top floor because it really captures the view of the river. I also loved being extremely close to the buses as well as the eatery to fill up drinks. Enjoy your trip!

I like BLDG 4 or 5, but because this resort is so compact, I do not think that there is a bad room. I will say that for moderates, I never request a view. I am not excited to pay an additional fee for a view when there are exterior corridors that make enjoying the views kind of impossible.

I'm not sure if there is a river view in building 4 (I don't book views at moderates), but we loved that building. Very close to food court and bus stop. :thumbsup2

Honestly, I never do a room request at POFQ. The resort is so compact, and I've never been in a location where I was disappointed.

We had a garden view corner king in building 4 and I paid for a standard room. Loved the location, very close to lobby/food court/bus stop. Agree with others who say that since the "view" isn't from a balcony, just a window with a corridor or sidewalk outside, that I would not pay extra for it.

I don't think that there are any bad rooms at POFQ. River view isn't necessary, but it sure is pretty when you are going to and from your room. We were in bldg 2 or 4? I can't remember for sure, but it was very nice. Walking along the river, we thought that all the river view rooms looked great!

Enjoy!

I agree with the previous posters. Building 5, top floor for the noise levels and view. It an easy route to the bus stop using the sidewalk by Building 4 plus you are close to the pool without hearing the pool noise.
