Beignets require patience. As the above PP said, you can wait A LONG time for them. We have stayed at POFQ 4-5 times now and the service of the food court can be interminable. The absolute worst is the beignet line.
Say there are 5 people in line for beignets. Person #1 orders a plate of 6. The server fully cooks the plate of 6 before asking what person #2, etc. wants. So even if Person 2 only wants three, and there's plenty of room in the fryolator for three more, they must wait. And wait. These little goodies take a loo-oong time to cook. Then they have to turn them over. And cook them some more. THEN they have to dust them with sugar and scoop them onto a tray.

THEN they ask Person #2 what they want. Multiply this procedure by the number of people in line and you soon get the picture. Southerners may be able to tolerate this kind of service but for us Northerners it's torture!
As you can see this is something that really rankled. Plus, after all this waiting, they didn't taste any different than any other fried dough I've ever had!
