We are staying at POFQ next week and have read that Beignets are better off warm. On the QSDP is it possible, when having them for dessert, to go back and get them after we have eaten the main course so they will be warm.

I would think so, because you can get your ice cream dessert later, and the beignets are at the same location (ice cream & bakery window are the same window at POFQ)

Your entree might actually cool off too much by the time you get your beignets if you try to get them with your meal. We have waited as long as 10-15 minutes to get beignets since they fry them fresh with each order...if there are several orders ahead of you, you'll wait for them.

definately. we did this last year a couple of times. just save your receipt. enjoy!

and, if i remember right, we had to use a snack credit for 3. they weren't considered a dessert option. of course, that could have changed this year.

I had no idea that I could find beignets at Disney! I'm always finding more magic to be had. Yeaaaaaaa!

Beignets require patience. As the above PP said, you can wait A LONG time for them. We have stayed at POFQ 4-5 times now and the service of the food court can be interminable. The absolute worst is the beignet line.

Say there are 5 people in line for beignets. Person #1 orders a plate of 6. The server fully cooks the plate of 6 before asking what person #2, etc. wants. So even if Person 2 only wants three, and there's plenty of room in the fryolator for three more, they must wait. And wait. These little goodies take a loo-oong time to cook. Then they have to turn them over. And cook them some more. THEN they have to dust them with sugar and scoop them onto a tray. :headache: THEN they ask Person #2 what they want. Multiply this procedure by the number of people in line and you soon get the picture. Southerners may be able to tolerate this kind of service but for us Northerners it's torture! :rotfl:

As you can see this is something that really rankled. Plus, after all this waiting, they didn't taste any different than any other fried dough I've ever had!

I love beignets, but this is the absolute truth. The first year we stayed there, I about lost my mind. I have since learned to deal with the slower pace. Multi-tasking is an unheard of concept so I make sure I am in the food court when it opens so I get mine first!:woohoo:

!

As a life long southerner, I would love to take umbrage with this statement, but I can't!:rotfl: Things just move slower down here. I think it is the heat! I must have some yankee blood "tainting" my southern pedigree 'cause slow makes me CRAZY!!!
