POFQ and GF split stay question

Hi!
I keep going back and forth on what to do. We have an upcoming very short 4 night trip coming up. As it stands I have 1 night at POFQ and 3 at GF (my dream resort where I have never stayed!).

The 1st night is a Saturday so all the rates where higher for that night which is why I started with the less expensive resort.

I could split the stay half and half and it would save me in the area of $300. But it won't let me book 2 nights in a row at POFQ for some reason although I can book 2 separate nights (one night GV one night standard view) or 4 nights total (GV). This makes no real sense to me but it is possible for me to book the 1st 2 nights at POFQ as separate reservations. Not sure if that means we'd have to move rooms?

I could have all nights at GV but that would be an extra $600 aprox which is more than I care to spend.

I am not sure why I am asking! I guess I was just looking for some opinions on what to do. I am happy to be at FQ since we have never stayed there and I have always been curious. Plus I am saving on the more expensive Saturday night which is a good thing. I am just thinking I should maybe do it half and half but then will this 2 separate reservation thing mess us up? There are many things we could do with $300 and this way I am still getting to experience the GF which I have never done.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Call. It may be a system weirdness. But if you book two separate categories on two nights, you may have to move, absolutely. View categories are also pricing categories, after all.

WDW seems to have gotten more particular as to how they release rooms into inventory. You will see this type of configuration a lot now where you basically only see rooms available for particular lengths of stay. My advice would be to keep checking to see if you can get two nights on one reservation or keep your 1 night then 3 nights GF as is. I would not do one night GV, one night SV at POFQ, as, chances as they will make you switch rooms and you will have to pack up and be without a room between 11 am and approx. 3 pm.

I would keep it as is- if GF is your dream resort, and you don't mind the extra $300 then having an extra night there will be awesome for you. I feel like two days won't give you enough time to enjoy the resort! I would think about what you would spend the extra $300 on- then decide it its worth it to give up a night at the GF for.
