So we've tried this on Virgin's Facebook to see if it works
(Not my work!)
Yes it is National Poetry Day so here is my ode to Virgin Holidays!
It was almost two years to the very day
That my family and friends planned two weeks away
Excitement abounded at every turn
Thinking of all the money we must earn.
Each day was counted as the time drew near
Vast plans were made over pints of beer
The cost of the holiday went up every day
With Disney Parks and Cirque du Soleil
One month to go, moods at fever pitch
It seemed all us twelve had got the travellers itch
The letter arrived in the red Virgin crest
But only one ticket, so where were the rest?
Ten days to go, where were they we asked
Some calls were made, they were sent first class
Nothing arrived the very next day
Dont worry said Virgin, they're on the way
Six days to after waiting two years
Was this going to be one of our greatest fears?
Six calls were made to our overseas friend
So terribly sorry we shall make amends
Nothing was happening, on the phone for days
No one would answer, my mind was a haze
Last resort was to pretend it was new
Then we could speak to the UK crew
Bit of a trick, but it seemed to work
Was told that the ticket machine wouldn't work!
They think it had run out of printing ink
Instead of red it coloured things pink!
One person in all of the Virgin regime
Gave us truthful advice which made us twelve beam
As yet nothing has passed through the door
But if nothing happens I 'll compose some more!
From the Disney Dozen (Still waiting...)
