Good morning everyone. I too am looking forward to this cruise more than I can say. I can't wait to see all of my old friends again and meet some new ones.

I've spent the morning backtracking through my bank account because my debit/check card is missing from my wallet. :scared1: The last time I used it was here at work on Friday, so I thought someone might have turned it into security or the credit union, but that isn't the case. The good news is that they have marked it as a hot card and shut it down and that no one used it for any transactions over the weekend.

:scared1:Glad you got it shut down!

 pumpkin pie, pumpkin LI-Italian ;) cheesecake, pumpkin squares, pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin donuts, pumpkin seeds, pumpkin Blizzard...I could go on!!!

local brewery is doing pumpkin ale this year...Carl has plans to try it. May be I should pick it up this afternoon for him...

Wise acre.
What'dya expect?!?! :)

Egad. Glad you were able to freeze that card.

Huh. My original plan for Nassau day was to watch Todd take my daughter for a drink for her birthday... DD no longer coming on cruise... what to do... what to do... :confused3

Lounge around on deck with the rest of us?

Brandie beat me to it. My plan was to stay on the ship. I booked a hot stone massage early afternoon.

Just a quick question... are the spa treatments really that fabulous on the ship? It's a little pricey, and I was wondering if it would be better to get a massage or something before/ after we go or to do it on the ship...
Anybody have any advice?

I think they are an acquired taste. Much like the vinyls.

Awesome. What about payment?

If the deliver it you your stateroom the automatically charge your CC. I think with a voucher they don't charge you until you redeem for it, at least I think that is how I remember it being.

Almost time to go home...it's been a long day...Have a great evening all.

I am headed home, too. Hope I stay awake for the ride home.I was up way too late reading a book the last two nights.
Water aerobics tonight!

I hear you there Lyn! I spent this weekend reading Juliet by Anne Fortier (on my Kindle). Almost 500 pages in two nights. I highly recommend it, especially to anyone who's a fan of the Romeo and Juliet story in general. Fictionalized of course, it delves into the fact that Shakespeare wasn't the first to tell the story and that it's likely based on actual people and events. Yes, it's a love story, but I was impressed with it.

Oops. Guess this is the cruise thread, not a book review, but I highly recommend it - maybe as a book for the cruise?!

Did you just apologize for being off topic? I think you owe Paul a drink....:goodvibes:goodvibes

Dodie, I saw this two weeks ago and can't wait to read it!!!!! :thumbsup2

I usually treat myself to a massage, they are good but very expensive. I used to think that it was better to wait and just do it at WDW since it would be cheaper and of same quality. Last 2 times at the Saratoga Springs Spa were disappointing. Saratoga's spa prices have gone up significantly, the DVC discounts are mostly gone and it is not the quality it was before either.
I think it just depends on what you want to do and how specific on what you want and don't want you are with the provider. The thing that is nice on the ship is the staff seem to be there for more than a couple of months (I was able to have the same person a year later on the Magic)

Yes, compared to a spa experience on land in real life, the treatments are expensive. However, I have had great luck on my last 2 cruises booking their "special of the day". It comes out in the navagator and varies.

The wonderful thing about the Vista Spa onboard the ship is it is very nice as well as very inviting. In reality, you're paying for the convenience and the experience and it's worth it for me. :cloud9:

I think I already owed him a couple (who doesn't?!), we'll just add this one to my tab!:thumbsup2

Seriously good book, Nikki! Modern day romance, but not sappy at all. Jumps back and forth between a story happening in the 1300s and a modern day story - all related! Made me want to visit Italy even more than I already do.

I bought Juliet for the library, Nikki's suggestion. I love buying books and movies I want to read and watch with other people's money!

Tonight I am reading "Forest of Hands and Teeth"' a young adult zombie novel.

It probably weighs next to nothing and will lie really flat so if you want I can pick it up for you later this wk and give it to you on the ship - just let me know :goodvibes

Make it a great week all! :goodvibes

cheers,
:flower3:

 Thanks Karen, if it's not a bother for you that would be awesome :cool1: But please don't go out of your way to get it! Would it be ok to give you the money in Dec?

Oh and I never got to say well done for getting so far with your house painting (someone closed the thread ) - well done :thumbsup2

Yes they are an aquired taste so hopefully they will have some left in Dec ;)

I think anything you order gets charged to your room.

Is it any good? I need a book for December, one that I can read for about 4 hours on the flight and then read bits here and there while we're at WDW. Is it scary?

Happy Tuesday everyone - hope you all have a good day. It's a bit misty here today, hoping it brightens up later on.

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday. Busy day ahead here at work.

Good Morning Everyone !!!! Happy Tuesday, fellow cruisers! After over a week of pleasant weather, its going back up into the upper 80's today. Guess mother nature is saying "You need to go back down to Florida". Yeah that's it. I guess I will make the sacrifice and take a trip to take the heat to Florida for the fall...;)
