I haven't heard any good things about "Eat. Pray. Love."..don't think I'll bother to see it.

First night on the ship??? Don't know....I guess I'll wait and see what is going on....more than likely, we will be touring the ship and finding out where things are.....is our first night a scheduled dinner or does that start on the next night?

Sunday night, the first night, will be the first dinner in our dinner rotation. So if you choose to dine in the dining room, you will meet your server and probably mingle a bit with some DISers.

The kids went back to school today ...

Hubby needed his passport for work and we have been searching high and low for it. Finally found everyone's and decided to start putting aside some things for the cruise as we find them. So far, passports, Mickey ears, lanyards, over the door organizer and fish extender are packed. Woo Hoo!!!!

We still need to renew one passport before the cruise. I think I can get there later this week.

I haven't even decided on which pieces of luggage I am using. I have one outfit ready to go, but that's about it...I still have two trips to the world before I have to start packing for the cruise....

I have to buy new luggage yet too...hmm...samsonite outlet or something different...:scratchin

Happy, Happy Birthday! :cake:

I wanted to jump in here and ask a question. Since you guys are the PCC experts and all.....

I am ready to pay off the balance of our cruise. :cool1::cool1:

However, I am having some concerns. My dd7 has high functioning Autism. It is going to be just me and her on the cruise. We have never cruised before. I am concrned about the Ocaneers Club and whether they will be able to handle dd. She is very socially challenged and would probably need a cm to bond with and help her with activities, etc. I guess I am having fear that she won't go to the club or won't like it there and I won't be able to participate in all the fun adult stuff or be able to truly relax and enjoy the cruise.

Does anyone have any experience with DCL and special needs kids?

I am really excited about this trip! I guess I just hoped someone could set my mind at ease!

Thanks!
Jennifer

I think if they know about it, they can make handle about anything. Have you checked out the disabilities forum. There are many posts about dealing with autism.

Yes, I am an active poster on the DISabilities forum. I haven't created a thread on this topic but I will do so.

I did post the question on the DCL forum and they expressed concern over DCL's ability to deal with children one on one. They expressed that there are many kids per cm and that it can be chaotic in the clubs.

I don't want to check her in for hours and hours, but I'd love to be able to enjoy dinner and the PC events.

Back to work after being gone three days last week.

Vacation days in Quebec were great.

I am feeling the aches and bruises from when my bicycle fell on me Thursday. (I did not fall off the bike! I stopped suddenly and the bike fell on me!)

The new Cirque show was great.

It was good to visit with partner's Canadian brother on the way home yesterday.

All this was a good diversion for partner who is worried about the tumnor behind his eye. His surgery is scheduled for next Wednesday.

dumn question -

Does KTW card have a hole for hanging on lanyard, or do we have to bring clear plastic hangers? Different cruiselines have different cards, and I don't remember what DCL has.

Fairly certain they are solid. I know I stuck mine in my plastic lanyard pouch last time around.

I think they said on the Cruise Primers, I just listened to again, that you can take it to Guest Services on the ship and have it punched.

:thumbsup2 I know we will be staying up late somewhere - can you imagine Wavebands with 800 or even 300 people in it? :cheer2: :cheer2:

Happy Tuesday folks :cool1:

It's such a lovely day here today, total opposite to Sunday night/Monday morning when we woke up to very hard rain! It's nice to see the sun :goodvibes

Good Morning!

It is still dark, but the moon is so bright this morning - with thin clouds zipping past it...looked very cool.

We have had a couple of grey days as well. I wouldn't mind waiting another day for the sun though

I had been talking to a cousin about his family joining us on this cruise. I haven't heard back yet. :surfweb:

getting closer!!!pirate:
