I haven't been here for a while. What is this about a meet in Hershey? I've never been to the Hershey amusement park. And if it is a weekend, that would be much better. Like George said, have to save vacation time for WDW. Hershey is about 2 1/2 hours from me. And August in south central PA, just like Disney. Hot and muggy.

Hey Kim - I think last summer/fall a few of us were talking about going to Hershey, PA. There is a big amusement park (it's no Disney) and a "Chocolate World", and a small zoo. I haven't been there in about 6 years, so, I'm sure I'm a little out of the loop. It looks like it will be over a weekend in August. Hope you can join us!

Early to mid August is good for us too. Looks like you have a time frame!!!

Mid week would work due to being less crowded but it would shut some people out. That won't happen so a Saturday would most likely work best. We need to save our vacation time for WDW ya know.

The date will be either Saturday 9/18, 9/25, or 10/2.

Either 9/18 or 9/25 would work for me. On 10/2 I will be running the wine and dine half marathon relay.

I'm gonna try . . I've only been there once many years ago and have always wanted to go back. It's all going to depend on work but I'm certainly going to try if we can do it on a weekend.

Wow, lucky you!!! Where'd you go in Malaysia? I've only been to the east side, far from KL: Sarakei, Labuan, etc. it there, esp the food. Did you have laksa, roti, nasi goreng, mee? Can you tell I love to eat?? I still remember going across the street every afternoon and picking a papaya from a tree for my tomorrow's breakfast.

wow, that sounds so great! we were only in KL, and only for a couple of days. the food was great though - i had a wonderful laksa and my husband had a fierce beef rendang. yummmmm.

the food in Thailand was good too. and so cheap! pineapple shakes every day! and plenty of banana roti... sometimes which chocolate syrup on top.

A good time to come to Chicago is coinciding with the Taste of Chicago. June 25th-July 4th. But any other time is good to . Becky is coming sometime in early July.

Oh and we are trying to set up another meet in Feb sometime for D2D.

I may try NY meet-up. John and I could take the train. All depends on when these events happen as my son is getting married in the fall. Oct 9th to be exact and that trumps all plans at this point

Deb and I would most likely drive part of the way and then take the train into the city. It's hard to say when this will occur but it is all dependent on the store opening. Epcot F&W is during all of October so it's possible that we would take October as a break month and NYC would occur in November sometime. Again, I'm just throwing things out there. Paul will have more on this in time.

The new WOD store opens in fall 2010. It would be some time closely following that.

Wow that sounds good So how long does it take you to get there? I imagine it's like us going to southern or eastern Europe
