Podcast Cruise 2.0 Discussion Thread Deux

I want to get off in Nassau. Just because it is there, and I am there, and I think I should see it.

I am thinking the Gardens place. Or a walkabout. Hopefully, I won't do it by myself.

And truthfully, I am not so certain exactly what I would be doing on the ship all day. But I am willing for people to give me suggestions. I am not interested in spa treatments. Are there tours of the bridge and kitchen?

This time next year (hopefully I'll be in bed asleep) we'll be at Castaway Cay

I intend to spend lots more time there, the early morning run/walk, some lazing on the beach and maybe a paddle. I also want some more time to look around the shop - maybe get a beach towel

Morning everyone. It was great meeting many of you at DAP (especially you Todd!). We were talking about the cruise last night. We can't wait.

i feel the same way! i'd like to see Nassau just cause... when else am i ever going to have the opportunity to go there? probably never.

although i know i could have fun on the boat all day too. just sittin' and reading and gazing out my porthole would be wonderful.

Here is what we did on our Nassau day, even though I would have liked to get off the boat. It didn't happen.

8:30 AM Disney Institute Presentation
10:00 AM Palo Brunch
Brunch was pretty long, we got out around 12. We then went and delivered some Fish extender gifts, and got a small bite to eat before the Martini and Wine tastings.
2:00 PM Martini Tasting
4:00 PM Wine Tasting
6:00 PM Toy Story the Musical
8:00 PM Dinner
10:00 PM Wavebands Wonderquest!

So even if I wanted to get off the ship, I really only had time to do so between 12pm and 2pm.

Now that DAP is over it's time to start focusing on this thing they call Podcast Cruise 2.0! The DIS takes over the Wonder in Dec. of 2010!

What are some common phrases you here on a cruise ship:
- "May I have 2 of those?"
- "What's this Muster thing anyway?"
- "I'm stuffed!"
- "Ahhhhhhh!"
- "Anyone want to play Beach Blanket Bingo?"
- "Is this boat moving?"
- "I ate my weight in Chocolate Soufflettes."
- "I'm here and Jimmy Leonard isn't!"

Just talked to the guy who is building the shelves for the library.

He has been to Disney World three times, all in January. A cruise last year. He couldn't stop talking about how good everything there is. Especially the customer service.

His wife dropped her digital camera in toilet before they were going to a character meal. His wife was devastated.

So, husband goes to buy a new camera in one of the stores. On his way there, a cast member asks his how his trip is going. "Everything is great, except for the wife dropped camera in the toilet". Cast member says, "come with me." Takes him to the store and tells him he can have any camera he wants!

What fabulous customer service! Gotta love Disney!

I want to do the Martini tasting this time around, the wine was ok but I'm not a fan of red wines so DH helped me with those
