Downtown puts them up every year. They've been doing it since 2005 or so I think. Makes driving through Downtown NUTZO from Lagniappe (Nov. 30) to Jan. 3rd or 4th. But it is lovely to see. They don't flash or anything, but man are they bright. The light pollution floods up from the valley (where Downtown is) and looks like the Aurora Borealis.

Wow I bet you can see the sky lit up at night from a couple of miles away at least right?

Wow those are really pretty :lovestruc

Shame lights pollute, coming home the other day it looked like daylight heading towards the town but it was dark on the road :sad2:

Good morning and that's beautiful! :)

WOW!
Those are crazy lights!
Where is this downtown?

Rochester, Michigan

That is gorgeous!! It looks like a nice little town too!!

I think I'm still recovering from sleep deprivation, all our vacations this year have been busy.

Ah yes I do remember the rocket from Austin Powers :thumbsup2

Have a great time at the theatre - we've got all our decs up, will try and post a picture this week :thumbsup2

Seems like it is impossible to catch up with sleep deprivation!

We had a great time at the theater. We went to Navy Pier before the show and afterwards went to Christkindlemarket at the Daley center plaza. That was fun. After decorating the tree on Sunday we watched Mickey's Christmas Carol with Aaron! He loved it! When it was over he said again, again! At least he isn't afraid of the 3 ghosts like I was. :rotfl2:

Anyone planning on seeing The Princess and the Frog this week?

Have fun at WDW all of those who are going!! Make sure my flattie has a lot of fun for me :rotfl:

Glad you had fun :thumbsup2 We watched a bit of Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas, I think we should watch a Muppets Christmas Carol too

We don't get the Princess and the Frog until next year  I'm trying to avoid the threads incase someone posts spoilers

Oh yey you got a flattie :goodvibes have you seen you yet? Hope your flat self is having a good time :thumbsup2

Happy Tuesday everyone :thumbsup2

I was just looking at what has happened today in the past and it's all a bit grim - this is the day John Lennon was shot, there was a massacre in Melbourne (Queen Street 1987) and a plane crash over Maryland in 1963 :sad2: Lets hope today is a event free.

I just checked my e-mails and I had one from Disney Store UK saying I'd won a competition
:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

It's the Hannah Montana Movie DVD - unfortunately I already have it (got it in September) but the daughter of a friend of mine may not have it yet.
I thought that was a nice suprise :goodvibes

Exactly one year from today, I'll be on a plane to Disney to enjoy all our meets and the Christmas fun before PCC 2.0!!

Happy Hump Day to all those left behind - I'm guessing most people are at DAP or on their way :woohoo:

2 weeks left at work :woohoo:

I can't wait for a break :woohoo:

Morning all!!!

In one year minus one day (maybe two), I will be arriving in Orlando for PCC 2.0! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

One year and 2 days for me....and I can't wait. Although I'll be taking a 3 day cruise next Sept too and in the World next Mar. so I have lots of countdowns to look forward to. :goodvibes

Right now my countdown is til Dec. 23rd...my last working day of the year!

Morning all, Happy Thursday :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

2 weeks today we'll be winding down at work (hopefully!)

1 year today (10th) we'll be at Gatwick waiting for our flight :woohoo: :woohoo: (unless we fly into somewhere else like New York in which case we'll be at Heathrow - but unless there is a major difference in cost I doubt it!)

Have a great day!
