Happy Black Friday!!! Unfortunately stuck at work. So far in the past two and a half hours, we have received one phone call. And it was a wrong number. There are three of us in the office today. Why again was it mandatory to come it today? (I did go shopping before work though. I love shopping!)

Oh what did you get?

I hate it when I'm at work and there's nothing to do  usually we get that on Christmas Eve but we get to go early :woohoo:

Whoop I finally caught up on the last ten or so pages

377 days till we get back on US soil. I'm going to need some peanut butter fixes to keep me going!

So is everyone all packed for DAP?

Becx - you can always start the pre-packing for next year???[/QUOTE]

I think it's time you packed for once ;)

I still think I want a Wii. I looked at one at the store today. I was wondering after buying the Wii, what else would I need to go with it? How many accessories? What games?

And the biggest question - would I actually use it?

Our Wii is great. We bring it to family functions and it keeps the youngins' busy so the adults can talk and relax a bit.
We also use it when we entertain at home. Being multi-player, it makes for easy socialization (and drinking games).
With the purchase of the Wii Fit on Thursday, I think we have enhanced our Wii exponentially. Watching an 8 year old flap around like a bird was cute. Watching two of his forty something aunts do it was a riot!!!

As for accessories and games, we don't use any accessories unless they are required for gameplay, i.e. Disney Dance Dance Revolution requires floor mats to dance on (included with the game) so we have them. We don't have the little gizmos that look like a tennis racket or golf club.
We choose our games based on word of mouth and online gamer reviews. When in doubt rent it from Blockbuster (or what ever movie store) for a couple bucks instead of shelling out $20-$50 for a game that you don't like.

So hubby and I were talking last night about 2.0. Looks like we will be changing our plans so DD will not miss as much school. Now we plan to arrive Fri or Sat before the cruise and stay for about a week after, so we will be home a few days before Christmas.

So all this holiday decorating has got me thinking about next year, and 2.0. Been doing some planning this weekend, and I think we have come up with a plan.

Friday, Dec. 10 - 12 @ VWL
PCC 2.0 Sunday, Dec. 12-16
Thursday, Dec. 16 -22 @ BLT (sooooo excited about this)

Haven't stayed at either resort yet and if all goes through, we'll have stayed at all the DVC resorts in WDW!

:thumbsup2 Great Plan!

We'll probably do something similar, except that we will come home on the 18th so we can turn around and fly down to Houston for Christmas.

Haven't decided where to stay yet - probably OKW.

You have to get a Wii :thumbsup2 they are so much fun :cool1:
To start with all you really need is the wii-mote and nunchuck for most games.
If you end up downloading lots from the store you may find you want a good sized memory card but you can wait and see for that.
Most other games come with the things you may need - like Guitar Hero/Rock Band you can get a bundle with 2 guitars, drums and microphone, Wii fit/plus comes with the balance board.
I think if you choose the games carefully - don't just go out and buy a game without checking reviews - you will play them.
Some you may find are better for multiplayer and some are better for just one player (when you get the split screen it can be hard to see - but we have quite a small TV).

Let us know how you get on :thumbsup2

We're getting Wii Fit for Christmas (then maybe the Wii Fit Plus a bit later) - can't wait to try it out :cool1:

So what games did you get for the PS3? I really want Little Big Planet :lovestruc They've come down a lot in price here recently so hopefully we'll get one soon. I want to wait until we have an HDTV first as I don't see the point with our TV at the moment. We may even be able to negotiate a good deal if we get a TV at the same time

VWL are lovely, I'm hoping we can get in at BWV or BCV before the cruise then a split stay between AKLV and BLT afterwards :cool1: Can't wait to see BLT :cloud9:
I need to work out how long we want at each and when to move but even if we can only get SSR I'll still be happy to be there :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Good morning everybody

Hope you all had a lovely weekend - only 3 weeks and 3 days (not counting today ;)) until Christmas :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
So how is eveyones preparations going?

We've got all our presents except for Gav's sister as she hasn't told us what she wants yet  So just got to wrap them all now.
We've got in a few food items popcorn::
I've started making Christmas cards - probably about halfway :santa:
We put the tree up on Saturday and a few other decorations :santa:

I think that's about it :woohoo: I'm looking forward to a break from work :cheer2:

I agree fully with this, you will play it.

We played with the Wii Fit a bit more. Took a virtual run. Bike ride. Led the band in a parade. Typical Sunday activities.:rotfl:

We got Little Big Planet and Gods of War 1 & 2 with the PS3, it was a bundle pack. DP said that Little Big Planet was a must have game. We don't have an HDTV yet, but we had to start somewhere.

Good Monday Morning!!!

Why is it a good Monday morning, you may ask?

Because it starts the last full week of work this year!!! party:

There are still three Mondays left to work, but they all start short work weeks!!!

Hello Everyone...haven't been here in 2 weeks. Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Happy Monday folks! :wave2:

Hope everyone had a great time with turkey, pumpkin and shopping! :goodvibes

We didn't leave for BF shopping til 6am so were pretty late to the party. Our first stop, the Apple store was disappointing. Only picked up some small stuff from Best Buy and FYE, and a couple of lil things wandering thru the mall. Bought more gifts on-line on the w/end - saves me the hassle of shipping. :upsidedow

How much time is everyone planning on taking off around the cruise? I'm trying to plan my vacation time for next year and can't decide how much to take for the cruise.

I'm thinking come in on Friday. Tour and meets on Saturday. Embark on Sunday. Sail through Thursday. Tour Fri, Sat, Sun. Return home on Sun.

Sounds like what we'd do but we might arrive a day early on Thursday leaving after work. It's what we did for 1.0 so we get 2 full days in the parks :thumbsup2 I always book the last direct flight out on Sunday so we still get a good day in before we have to head to the airport. :rotfl2:

Haven't heard of Ninja Assassins - what's it about?

It's an action/martial arts action-thriller flick by the Wachowski brothers, the same fellas who did The Matrix series (from which DH & I can recite :sad2:) Official site: http://ninja-assassin-movie.warnerbros.com/

Wow, last day for November already...so fast! I'll have to be on my toes tonite...DH & I vie for "first of the month, pinch and a punch, no returns" title every month. Amazing how hard it is to remember to do it first. Sometimes I think about it throughout the day then fall asleep before midnite and then DH does it to me the next morning :scared: Anyone else do this foolishness? :lmao:

cheers,
:flower3:

ok i've got what is probably a really silly Wii question, but how do you connect the Wii to the internet to download games? what do i need to set this up?

I can see you wearing your tiara while leading the band in the parade! :cool1:

Thanks for the info, I'll check out the link later :thumbsup2 Did you enjoy it?

I always remember to do the pinch and punch thing once I'm at work (I'd only try and do it to DH - might get funny looks at work :lmao:). We also say white bunny rabbits if there is an R in the month - no idea why :confused3

ok i've got what is probably a really silly Wii question, but how do you connect the Wii to the internet to download games? what do i need to set this up?

You can either connect it to your wireless router (wireless) or use a USB ethernet adaptor (specifically for the Wii) to connect it with wires. Here the adaptors are are about £15-20 ($25-30 US) from amazon.
I seem to remember DH having to enter the address for the router onto the Wii and allowing the Wii to connect to the router via the PC. There is probably an online guide somewhere - it was straight forward enough :thumbsup2

I can see you wearing your tiara while leading the band in the parade! :cool1:

I'd love to see Todd's Mii ;)

Good morning everyone! :)
Hope all is well with everyone on this fine Tuesday morning.
I am typing this post from my balcony at Old Key West this morning. :thumbsup2
I am letting the others have a little sleep in this morning.
We arrived yesterday and we drove form Canada!
This was the first time we drove, but I don't think it will be the last.
We had a great time on the way down stopping to meet new dis friends, and doing some sightseeing. :cool1:
Today we are moving into our BLT room, I can't wait!:yay::yay:
Then I think we will head over to MK for a bit.
We are here for 2 weeks and check out of BLT on the 15th.
I am trying to convince DH to tack on an extra week at the riverside.
You can't blame a girl for trying!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
We are not ready for christmas quite yet, but soon!

Wow! How long did it take you to drive down from Canada? Enjoy BLT! Let us know all about it!!

We had an enjoyable Thanksgiving. I got to see 3 of my sisters that I haven't seen in a very long time! Ate at Big Boy:sick: will never do that again! At least we didn't pay for it, but I got my Viatale's Pizza! YUM! Hope everyone is having a good work week! It is almost hump day!!!!:yay::dance3:
