Wow I can't believe how early the children get out of school in the states.
My boy's go till the 25th is the last day of school.
3 more weeks then I will be going nuts...

We finished up on Wednesday here. Can you believe that I am all ready getting calls with "there's nothing to do, I'm bored".

Of course they could always get up and come to work with me - good morning 5am

Our school goes until June 26th - then the kids are off for a week, then the day after 4th of July they are going to day camp

That is why I shipped the teenager off to my mom's house in Mt. Airy during as soon as school was over Wednesday. She can't get into trouble with two retired people who are at home with her. Here, on the other hand, is an empty house surrounded by her friends who are also home alone. I think I made the right decision; she comes on the weekends.

I'd hate to be a kid going to school that late in June! Even when I was a kid - the only time we finished in late June was the one year that the teachers' strike delayed it by about 2 weeks. That was in 1971!

I wish I had family in the area. Once they age out of day care it gets really hard. I just have 3 days next week to get through and then we are off to POFQ. When we get back, the sports camps will start for the younger one and the older one is volunteering in our HR department for student service learning hours.
