I watched her also....so beautiful.....Good News...I got my income tax back today, so I now have the full amount that I need for the trip. Just going to put it into savings and wait for a final total, then pay it off...:yay:

Told my DGD that sometime in the near future, I want to take her out shopping for a bathing suit that I will put away for her. It would be just like her to tell me in December that she can't "find" her suit....then she informs me that she wants to dress up for dinners....and I mean dress up...a seperate outfit/dress for each night....NOT....I told her I would dress up one night, but the rest we will be wearing nice slacks and pretty tops....I'm not taking that much luggage this time.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a nice leap day.

Great news about your income tax refund, Cheri! :woohoo:

My last cruise was a 14-night to Alaska on Holland America with FOUR formal nights! :scared1: That trip I left my little black dress at home, and wore nice pants and tops when I ate dinner in the dining room - even on formal nights. (I ate dinner in the buffet most of the time that trip.) It remains to be seen if I will bring something other than dress pants for our Fantasy cruise.

State has screwed up our taxes from '08. Hopefully they'll get it straightened out soon. If we file now, they'll take our refund as payment. And once its fixed, who knows when they'll decide to refund us.:confused3

I hear you. :thumbsup2 Had 3 on my last cruise. I've gotten where Sunday church clothes is as dressy as I get.

Good Afternoon everyone !!!! I'm starting to watch the prices on airline flights for December.....so far the prices have gone up from $245.50 RT each to $266.40...hope by the time I book, they will go down a little.....not sure I will be booking right as they come out either....last time, I booked right away, and within a month or so, they went down....I was able to get the lower price, but had to take it in credits....

Do not expect the flights to go down at this point. Hubby works in the airplane industry and scuttlebutt is that fuel prices are rising and expected to go sky high.
He is confident enough in this that he already had me buy our tickets.
They have gone up twice since then.

Ok, thanks for the info. I can't book yet, Southwest is only taking reservations through Nov. 2nd......I guess when they release the December flights, I will book right away and hope for the best.

Good Afternoon Everyone !!! There's not much chatting these days...hopefully as we get closer, ya'll will start talking more......

Well, I have to say that I miss the sun. I am ready for warm temperatures (for more than 1 day)!

Good Afternoon everyone !!! As I watched the video of the Disney Fantasy arriving in port this morning, I got this feeling of joy in my heart.....in just over 9 months, we will be boarding her and setting sail on a wonderful vacation......it seemed so long ago that I booked the trip, and now it's not that far away...the time is flying by. I'm really looking forward to meeting new people, and seeing those that I've met before.

I took my grand daughter out last weekend and treated her to a movie and some clothes shopping...here she is in the middle of JC Penney....telling me which outfits she wants for the cruise.....she picked out several.....oh boy...I'll need to hide the credit card when we go shop for cruise clothes....:scared1:

... just three weeks for us ... we sail on the Maiden Voyage, as well as PCC 4.0. We also booked a dummy cruise on the Fantasy for early March 2013. If nothing better jumps out at us in the interim, I guess we'll be FORCED to sail her again!
:woohoo:

Honestly though, when we heard DCL would be sailing out of Miami, we were hoping to sail DCL into the Southern Caribbean ... but that's obviously not going to happen.
:sad2:

Good Morning Everyone !!! My DD just paid of her DD share of the cruise, so now I can relax and do some serious planning !!!!

Have a great day all !!!!!

Good morning Cheri!

Been pondering what to do for shore excursions on this trip. Its been a while since I've done a western Caribbean cruise (and then it wasn't on DCL). Back then I was into Scuba diving and we dove at all our stops. Val has never done one so I suspect this trip will be more shopping and seeing the ports.

I've been thinking about that also...since it will only be my DGD and I this trip, we just might do shopping...since that's what she's all about these days. We booked the glass bottom boat on CC last time, but it got cancelled because of the weather, so might book that again. I would like to see some of the ruins though....guess I'll wait until it gets closer and see what's available when it's time to book those things.

Morning Cheri! What lovely weather we are having. We are not doing any excursions since we will have a baby with us. I don't think there is anything we can do except shop.

We're not booking excursions. Been to ports before [some on numerous trips]. With DS, we're limited anyway.

DD 21, might be interested in tagging along, if anyone needs 1 more person to go. Hasn't decide yet which excursions look interesting to her.

We haven't been to any of these ports before- so we are interested in doing "something" at each port.

We are not divers and probably not into snorkeling either. Not to further sound like fuddy-duddys, we not looking at hour long bus rides either. :sad2:

I have heard good things about the Grand Cayman excursion that goes to Stingray City and the Turtle Farm- that seems like a good fit for us.

We do like food and history- and there are a couple of excursions that seem to have one or the other or both! So I am leaning in that type of direction.

This will be our first 7 night cruise- so we are interested in seeing new places AND having more time to spend on board a beautiful ship as well! :thumbsup2
