Tomorrow is our 7 month window for DVC. Looking to switch from BCV to VWL, pre-cruise. :fingers crossed:

Wilderness Lodge has such a great look and feel.

But you can't walk back from DATW like you could if you were at Beach Club!

Becx N Gav - I enjoyed your videocast from the ship.

Thanks, I've yet to get the courage to watch it yet :lmao: I might start with listening to the podcasts first

You sure do. But you looked like you were having TOO much fun on the Magic.

We had a lot of fun, but it was exhausting too - lots of ports and lots to see at each port, but I'm so glad we've been able to experience seeing more of Europe, in fact DH wants to go on a Med cruise again :thumbsup2

Welcome home Becx & Gav! I was wondering if you would make it through with the ash cloud threatening to wreak havoc again.

The first we heard was on Monday or Tuesday morning, but that was only affecting Ireland, when we disembarked we heard it had moved to Scotland and could potentially affect London - I was hoping by the time we got to the airport they had closed London so we'd have a stay a bit longer :rotfl: One American family Yvet knew were going home via Ireland after doing the Trans-Atlantic and Med cruise but they couldn't get on another flight for 3 - 4 days :scared1: So they looked at the cost and it was cheaper for them to get back on the ship and do another Med cruise than to get hotel rooms and food for all of them for those few days :thumbsup2 I like the way they think :goodvibes

Becx (N Gav too!) welcome back! What was the highlight of the cruise? Looking fwd to hearing about your cruise exploits over the next few podcasts now that P&W are back! popcorn::

cheers,
:flower3:

The highlight was Italy, I loved everywhere we visited and would love to see more. The people were very friendly, beautiful pretty much everywhere, great food, so much history we both really enjoyed it there. Another place we'd love to see again is Malta, it was great to wander around. Also we loved the CM's we met, great personalities I think that's what we miss the most :sad1:

On the other end of the scale the last sea day we went through a storm that had force 10 gales :scared1: That was an experience I'm not sure I'd want to repeat :sad2: Water got everywhere, getting into the elevators it was running down the entrance, the laundry on deck 2 flooded and the day after our bathroom was full to the step with water (which I put my foot in ) I felt so sorry for the CM's having to get everything back to normal for the next cruise

Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's and caretakers here on the PCC thread. You don't have to be a mom to nurture those around you.

I got to meet up with a few cruisers yesterday at the Muddy Buddy. Jason and Chris did an awesome job. I got to see them hit the mud and cross the finish line. I posted a couple of pictures over on a thread I started detailing the Mother's Day adventure my family put together for me in MK. DH found a fun and creative way to deliver my present. If you want to follow along, you can find it here.

Thanks for the link, I'll check it out :thumbsup2

Yes, there is still plans for a door decorating contest.

Happy Mother's Day everyone!

I hope you get it Jen, I submitted our request yesterday - hoping to get a studio at BWV or BCV :thumbsup2 I think this is easier to book than after the cruise, looking at the Dis info thread on availability they're filling up quickly between the cruise ending and Christmas.

Happy Monday folks  hope everyone had a great weekend? I spent it doing laundry and catching up with things :thumbsup2

We have considered that, but the thought of crossing another resort off the "We haven't stayed there, yet" list is too tempting.

Ah! That explains it. You are giving in to temptation!

How many resorts have you stayed at so far?

Me? Two.
Boardwalk when Mom was paying.
Pop when I paid.

Happy Monday folks! :wave2:

Survived a windy & stormy weekend with a power outage for a hours and hours on Saturday :scared: - amazing how much I want to do involves electricity :lmao:

You win - your storm was a lot worse :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I can't imagine what it would be like...my little mind would be having visions of the Titantic :scared1: :faint: Glad it all ended well - really looking fwd to this wk's podcasts and stories from the sailing!

Have a fab week everyone! :goodvibes

cheers,

Happy Monday! :hyper::wave2:

I saw snow this weekend, thankfully we are too far south for it to stick. The wind was brutal. We saw the sun this morning but had a wee bit of frost. Wind Chill. ick

not for long!

Statistically, it is more dangerous to walk drunk than drive drunk per mile ;) You just don't really kill innocent people with walking though...

Morning!

Working 3:30 to midnight again this week!

IT's been a crazy few weeks at work with all the enumerators being trained and hitting the streets! The stories we are hearing back have been hysterical!!!

Let's see, so far we have had an enumerator take a swing at his crew leader, a few car accidents (no injuries), one who was almost arrested, one who had a gun pulled on him, one who insists on carrying a gun, several scary dogs, and one who unfortunately had a heart attack and passed away.

And it's only been 10 days!! :scared1:

Miss you guys!!

During those times (walking) I prefer to be referred to as stability challenged. :drinking1
