Unfortunately, we will not be sailing on Podcast 2.0.

Despite booking PodCast 2.0 while onboard the EB TransAtlantic (in writing), DCL took TWO WEEKS to blame DU (yes, that's right) as the reason for the Disney Magic Onboard Sales Manager having to CROSS OFF my notice of selecting DU as my Travel Agent. Accordingly, DCL is refusing to honor my reservation, listing DU as my Travel Agent.


DCL went so far as to say that I could have had selected EITHER Disney Cruise Line as my travel agent, or my EXISTING Travel Agent (EB TransAtlantic booked on points, so that would have been Disney Vacation Club). Since I was booking PodCast 2.0 on cash, there was no way to select DVC, so DCL selected themselves are my Travel Agent.


Get this ... DCL is saying they do not have any information on DU - DCL does not know who they are - DCL does not have DU's proper information - DCL does not have DU's phone number. I AM DEAD SERIOUS!

Accordingly, dcl is refusing to honor my reservation, listing du as my travel agent.


Dcl went so far as to say that i could have had selected either disney cruise line as my travel agent, or my existing travel agent (eb transatlantic booked on points, so that would have been disney vacation club). Since i was booking podcast 2.0 on cash, there was no way to select dvc, so dcl selected themselves are my travel agent.


Get this ... Dcl is saying they do not have any information on du - dcl does not know who they are - dcl does not have du's proper information - dcl does not have du's phone number. I am dead serious!

The 7 month window for DVC'ers that are looking to change resorts for the night before our cruise opens on Tuesday, 5/11!

We were successful in getting a 1BR at BWV for that night.

Well that just doesn't sound right. Have you asked John, Kevin, or Tracy to look in to this? They usually have ways of making DCL see the error of their ways.

I hope you've tried to contact DU directly about this. If not you need to. They should be able to right this DCL wrong.

You may want to forward this to DU so they can raise some heck with DCL. While John and/or Tracey may see this post, forwarding it directly to them will ensure that they do see it and can take appropriate action.

I had been working with Tammy @ DU on my Inaugural Alaska Cruise (5/3/11), which has been booked since day one. I realize the PodCast goes through Tracy, so I informed Tracy of my reservation on 4/26 (I got off the ship in Barcelona on 4/24). Tracy has been very nice, and apparently escalated the matter on to DU management while the first MED cruise was still in process.

I am not a fan of short cruises. The only reason for signing up for this cruise, was due to two others DISers on the EB TransAtlantic & MED, who told me of the added events and fun of a PodCast cruise.

I am waiting for DCL to wake the heck up and fix their screw-up!

Morning, computernut friends.

The weather here today is a mix of cold, grey, wet, windy and bleh. Kind of matches the way I feel right now.

I think I am turning into my grandfather. I dozed off last night in the recliner shortly after Jeopardy ended (8pm).

Seven months from this evening, we will be getting together for an unofficial pre-cruise meet on the Boardwalk.

I cannot wait.

Thanks - I don't mind SSR, at least if we're out late at other resorts all we have to do is get a bus to DTD - I love that it's walking distance

That is crazy - Yvet and Emiel mentioned you guys (and in fact Emiel ate some things in your honour ) and I was looking forward to meeting you.

DU have managed to pull off some incredible things so fingers crossed DCL realise they made a mistake and you can have DU as your travel agent Let us know what happens!

Yeah, sucky weather - but at least I can avoid 3 weeks of winter in December

And yes, FE's are a priority now - just to get some ideas going to start with. I think there are 7 (families) in our group, hopefully we'll get a couple more people to join us

Got my race bib for Race for the Cure next weekend. Its a 5K walk/race for breast cancer that I am doing with my mom in honor of my sister, aunt and co-worker. Not quite as cool as the Muddy Buddy that I missed, but still will be a good time.


Can't wait to hear who the special guests are for the cruise, which is SEVEN months away!!!!!!
