Hi everyone! I have to say I agree with others who have said they have found some amazing friendships online. It is a lot easier to find people who have similiar inetrests and broadens the way you look for people with whom you may have things in common.

Other than a sunburn from the beach, my week is going well. I even made my commute tonight in near record time. I don't know how, it just happened that way.

It's official. My deposit cleared DU today! So excited and we still have 221 days!

Happy Wednesday!

2 hours or so and I am on vacation time! I don't leave for a week but no work! :cool1:

I am starting to think about the cruise more. We have decided to fly and leave driving down for another trip. :thumbsup2

What days are you going to be at WDW next week? Let me know and maybe we can meet up. :)

Happy Cinco de Mayo. Everyone have their tequila chilling?

Ack!
Last year we tried to go to our favorite Mexican restaurant on Cinco de Mayo. The place was mobbed with college kids looking for drink specials.

I think we will more likely go tomorrow night.

Happy Hump Day folks! :wave2:

:welcome: to all those new to the cruise or this thread! :welcome:

Misssed a few weeks on this thread - came back to a new one even! - looking fwd to the countdown :thumbsup2

Tonite I'll be making spicy chicken quesidillas as my nod to Cinco De Mayo :goodvibes

cheers,
:flower3:

Hey it's HUMP CHAT day! :thumbsup2

Ordered some new luggage last night for 2.0. The stuff we used on 1.0 is getting a bit tired. Still has some use left but wanted something that was expandable.

Originally wanted a 29" rolling suiter but those things are too big and put you in danger of exceeding the 50lb limit for checked luggage. Went with the 26" that is expandable. After a week of research decided to go with the Delsey Helium 250GX. Got two of them. One for Deb and one for me. TravelPro was in the running but I didn't like the features as well as the Delsey and the Platinum line was way too much money.

I have a TravelPro roll a board and I love it. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Nice looking luggage George. By any chance do you know the weight of it EMPTY? I really need to keep it under 50lbs. On Jet Blue we each can check only 1 bag - I have to find the lightest possible luggage - short of using giant lawn & leaf bags :rotfl2: and I don't think they'd hold up too well

I ended up buying from AltmanLuggage.com who also have a store right in the city. http://http://www.altmanluggage.com/delsey_helium250gx.html. They had the best price. :goodvibes

WOW - George you are awesome :thumbsup2

Thanks so much for all the details - I think I'm going to look at getting 2 of the 26" uprights and then a carry-on with wheels too.

I hate to spend a bloody fortune on luggage - the airlines just beat it up so badly. On the ABD trip to California they actually dented the framework of one piece. I think they dropped it from 30,000 ft

You're most welcome. :)

The Delsey luggage I'm getting is on closeout everywhere in limited offerings. Altman's has the platinum version only but you can find black if you look around at other sites. They also have the 3pc 250GX platinum set for $249 and that includes a 21", 26", and 29" upright. An outstanding price. For a little bit more ($38) than (2) 26" you can get the full set. I'm tempted but really feel the 29" is too big and I already have smaller bags. So no need to spend any extra money for what I didn't need.

And the main reason I got the Delsey was it has the ballistic nylon construction. Big plus.

Good luck with you purchase Marilee! :goodvibes

I have the Radisson reserved as well and will be driving up early Saturday morning from Miami. I'd like to visit the Kennedy Space Center.

We're thinking of doing that in September as we've never been there. On docking back into CC we are flying from Orlando to Ft Myers on Southwest and I am hoping to book an afternoon flight so we can go see Ice at Gaylord Palms. Something else we've never done...

Mel

Thanks for all the welcomes everyone! I have listened to the podcast for over a year now and simply haven't had too much time to hang out here (something about being in school for a civil engineering degree or something...). If nothing else, PCC 2.0 is the light at the end of the tunnel...err, year, since I still have another two for my undergrad degree :scared1:

Happy Thursday Fellow cruisers. Lovely day here in Virginia.
