I read that the Royal Rooms at Riverside are very nice. I was thinking about staying there with my daughter. How close are the Royal Rooms-Water View to the main building, food court and park transporation???

Need to know specifics before booking. Never stayed there before.

I have a very similar question. Last time we went we stayed at POFQ. We LOVED how small it was an no worried about walking far to the room after a long and HOT day at the parks. I can't justify spending the money for a Deluxe Resort with the very little time we will actually spend in the rooms. That is how I came to the Royal Rooms. I have some money to spend for them (and still save 500+ bucks compared to a Deluxe Room). I know due to distance I want to request the OAK Building. I can't decide if I should spend more for a Water (Pool) view. Will that help me guarantee I am even closer to the bridge to the Food Court/Buses? Do most people just do standard room? After a hot day, I don't want to walk far to my room, but LOVE the idea of the Royal Rooms.

Thanks!!!

A standard room will be on the far side of the building facing the parking lot. The closest rooms would be river view.

Oak Manor will be the best location. We stayed in the far side of Parterre Place and was my least fav location. Far from main pool.

What about distance to main building/buses? Not to worried about main pool since there is a quiet pool right there. Should I have a short walk with a "Pool View" category and request Oak Manor? Thanks so much!!

Check out the map at the beginning of the POR thread. It will show you the buildings in relation to bus stops and main buildings.

I would go with Royal Rooms "River" view and then request Oak Manor. Water view could be the pool between the two buildings and a longer walk if that's an issue.

Even if you get parterre Place, you'd still have a short walk to the main building.
