Can this resort sleep 3 adults and 2 kids comfortably? I'm just pricing our trip out and this is one of the least expensive options.

Any thoughts or input is appreciated.

Tia.

Love Riverside, I like the classy side of it, versus the French Quarter with more of the party atmosphere.

POR is our favorite resort! We are 2 ad, 3 ch- 14, 12, 4. I think it will sleep your party comfortably as long as you know that for a party of 5 you will be placed at POR in the Aligator Bayou section. This section has 2 beds and a murphy bed (ideal for children) You can also ask for a playpen for infants.

What we do is DH and DS14 in one bed, myself and DD4 in another and DD12 sleeps on what was the trundle bed (being refurbished to murphy beds).

POR is a very beautiful resort. It is in the middle of being refurbished, so the rooms are undergiong new paint, beds, tvs etc. This is the hotel I suggest to everyone I know. We have never had a bad experience here and it is so pretty, comfortable, they have good food court food, the boat ride to DTD, several pools, etc.

We have always wanted to stay here, but it just never worked out.

Thanks so much for the input. I think we may try to stay here.

Wait, what is the difference between the small pull-out trundle beds currently at POR and the new "murphy beds?" :confused3

OP: If you're looking at options for yourself, you would technically count as a party of 4 (since your youngest is an infant) so you can book any room that sleeps 4. You are not limited to the Alligator Bayou rooms at POR.

There are pictures in the POR thread on the Resorts forum. Instead of a mattress that pulls out from under the bed, the new beds fold down out of the wall over the bench. Still smaller than a twin sized bed, but now they're up off the floor.

She'll be 2 at the time of the trip. We may try the crib for her, but when we took our oldest when she was 2? She hated the crib.

We love POFQ...despite the jazzy New Orleans theme, there is a tranquility to it compared to other resorts. POR is also nice-you can't go wrong with either, I guess!

Since your youngest will only be 2, yes a pp is correct, you can choose any resort. BUT...I still recomend POR, it is so nice! The only thing is, since your youngest will only be 2, you will not be guaranteed a AB room, so you can make this a request (which may or may not be granted). We have always gotten an AB room, even when DD4 was under 3.

As a pp said, the trundle was a bed that would pull out of under one of the other beds but still stayed on the floor. The new murphy beds are a flip down from the wall. They are very cute for little kids, but they are up off the floor.

Our dd4 never liked the playpen either and with her health issues, she was always on monitors, so it was hard for her to sleep in a playpen, so that is why she has always slept with me.

POFQ is a much smaller resort. This translates into less people waiting for busses, food court etc. When we boarded the bus for the parks at POFQ and were on a shared bus with POR, it took FOREVER to go through all the bus stops at POR. We stayed there a couple of years ago and it is definatly beautiful, but if we stay moderate again, we'll definately go with POFQ.

We really love Pop Century when we stay value resorts (which is most of the time). If you could go during value season, a family room at a value might be nice.

We stayed at pop last time with just the 3 of us and it was tight. Dd hated the pp and slept with us. No big deal, but I'd rather have the extra bed, kwim?

I think we'll try pi and see if we can get it.

Thanks again for all the input.

When my youngest was 2 he was 40" and we didn't think he would sleep in the pack'n'play either. We brought a child-sized Disney air bed with us for him.

This also gave us the opportunity to try another moderate that only sleeps 4 (CSR :cloud9: ) before he turned 3. Now that we're officially a family of 5 our resort choices are more limited.

Three adults and 2 kids with one bathroom will be very cramped. I just finished a trip with 3 adults and we stayed in an AKV studio, which is larger. And there were times when I felt cramped there. I don't know how you will feel with 2 more bodies (albeit little bodies) all sharing the same sleeping space.

Technically, yes can do it. POR has the trundle/murphy bed rooms that will accommodate a family of 5 if one of those 5 is a small child. And since your littlest one doesn't come into consideration when counting heads for occupancy purposes, you could stay at any resort that has room for 4 people. Whether you will be comfortable doing it is an entirely different answer and completely subjective.

It is not anymore cramped that any other hotel you would go to. Not to mention you do not spend that much time at the hotel when at WDW. We have 2 adults, 14yr, 12yr and 4yr and as I have said before, this is our favorite resort. We usually have 2-3 children take their bath/shower at night time and the rest of us take it in the morning. (this is very doable with little kids espec).

I know it can seem a little cramped with only having 1 bathroom, but really dont think it is worth the money to get a second room or deluxe to have a little more space. Just my opinion.

My girls are tiny.

We'll try the oldest on the bed and the baby in the pnp and see how tht goes.

I'm sure we'll mess around With the sleeping arrangements For a day or wo.

Thanks again for all your input.
