Please help me decide.

I currently have ressies at PO-FQ for June 17-22, AP rate of $107/night. We have stayed here once before and like it because there's not much walking and we love the boat to DD.

If I can get the AP rate for PO-R, I'm thinking of switching. I know we can still ride the boat to DD and the food court, IMO, is better than the one at PO-FQ as we ate here last year.

If I switch, I'll request AB builings 14, 15, or 18.

My family (DH, 15 DD, 6 DS) doesn't like to walk too much at the resort. My DS loves the waterslide at FQ. We like being close to bus stops and use our refillable mugs a LOT.

Should we switch? I'm so undecided but I keep reading PO-R is a favorite. Opinions?

IMHO, I would switch. Try something new!! It's not that far off from what you're used to but it will give you some variety. Your son will be able to try out the pool at Riverside and if he really yearns for the 'serpent pool', as we call it, then go over there. Now that the resorts are under one name you can most assuredly use both facilities. (I'm pretty sure you could before) Which brings me to my next question: Are your mugs for PO or DL (from the food court trip?). If they say PO and it is now all PO, couldn't you still use them at Riverside?
Also, I agree with your choices of bldgs and understand your aversion to walking (there's enough of that in the parks!) so those bldgs should be perfect to accomplish exactly what you want. What are you waiting for? Get on the phone!:D

IT doesnt matter which one you stay at you can use both resort equally, including the pools. I like the grounds better at the Riverside. Also bldg. 14 is next to the food court!!

we choose the riverside for it's beauty.

good luck in your decision:)

Just be aware that the building you request is certainly not a guarantee. POR is the only resort where my requests were not met. All I requested was AB, not even a specific building, and got mansions. However, I love POR, either side. But there is a lot more walking on the mansion side, and I'd lean toward you staying with FQ. BTW, I've used mugs from both places at both places (stayed at POR 5 times, POFQ 3 times)

We prefer FQ over Riverside. Had to stay at Riverside in Nov. due to FQ being closed. While we like the food court better at Riverside, we still liked the overall atmosphere better at FQ. The small resort suits us better. It doesn't matter where you are it is close to everything. It is the first bus stop, prior to Riverside so you usually can get a seat. And, it is the first stop off in the evening when you don't want to be riding a bus. We like that.

Also, keep in mind the food court at FQ has been rehabbed, although no one really knows what that means. We are waiting for posts after May 31.

At Riverside, if you are in a far building it WILL be a walk to anywhere you want to go. I've read many who posted that even though they were close to a bus stop, they walked to the first one at Riverside because often the bus was full when it got to them and passed them by. So, if walking isn't high on your list, this might be something else to consider. And, like someone said, your request for bldg 14, 15, 18 is only a request and may or may not be met.

We do like both resorts but prefer FQ for many of things you stated...smaller, less walking, everything close, close to bus stop, etc.

Does anyone know where I could see a picture of the mansion rooms' interior? Carlson's page has a lot of AB pictures but none of the mansion. My wife and I were thinking about PO-R for our first trip to WDW and wanted to see the difference. Thanks a lot.
