PnP not for sleep?

At home our Pack N Play is packed away in a corner, has been for about 6 months now. DD will not/never has slept in it. We (me, mom, sis, DD) are staying at Pop in December. I am wondering whether we should request a PnP for other than sleep times. I guess the room will be childproof enough (I'm bringing outlet covers) without having to confine her to the PnP right?

Not really sure if the room is childproof. I think most of the outlets were behind the furniture, but a few are accessible w/o covers. It is a small room. I think biggest problem for us was child climbing on the bed and the corners on the furniture. We did not spend much time in the room, and children were mostly exhausted by the time they returned from theme parks.

If your 16 month is anything like mine when they were that age, if I got back to the room and plonked them into one of those while we roamed around they would have screamed the place down.

If she isn't going to use it to sleep in I wouldn't bother having it taking up space in the room.

normally the only issue I have ever had in a hotel room, is the phone, I usually unplug it and put it in a drawer.

A PnP is not something you really need to request ahead of time - they have plenty on hand, so if you decide you need one to contain her, you can always get one from Mousekeeping. Also, I just wanted to add, as I assume DD will be sleeping in the bed with you, you can also request bedrails to be brought and installed onto one of the beds. We did that with DD (2) in May and I felt much better about having her in the bed at night since the beds are pretty high off the ground. Enjoy your trip!

When my daughter was 15 months we had a pnp for her to sleep in. But when she did not want to be in there and we did not want her roaming about we would put her in her stroller that we brought. It was very handy.

Of all of the hotel rooms we've ever stayed in with our twin toddlers, we found Pop to be the most childproof. The air conditioning is controlled on the wall thermostat so they don't have a floor AC to mess with (kids love those knobs). The door knobs are pretty high at Pop and the faucets in the sinks are not as easy to reach. Also Pop doesn't have handles on the dresser drawers and no doors to cover the tv. Our kids did better there than at Port Orleans Riverside where they drove us crazy playing in the sinks and opening and shutting the doors that covered the tv. You could try getting the pack n play; housekeeping will come and take it out of your way if you end up not being able to use it. Sounds like you'll have plenty of help to watch out for baby, lucky you!

I know that at some of the deluxe resorts and timeshare resorts that they have actual full sized cribs, not sure if the all stars/pop have them, but you can always give them a call and see if they have any available.
