Hi. I'm back. Did enough house cleaning for one day. Man does Allison have a lot of junk. I filled up 3 large plastic bags of stuff to go to goodwill. And one whole plastic bag for garbage pickup.

My DH woke up during the night puking, though. I knew that teva would want to know that. We don't go a week in this house without someone puking. We ate the same thing so it's not food and he hasn't upchucked since. But he still ate breakfast. God forbid the guy should miss a meal.

Hey everyone!

Just got back from my 12yo son's first baseball game of the season. His team lost, but he had a good game. I'm very glad after his fiasco last fall, but that was before we were all posting with each other. In a playoff game last season Zach was running to home and the catcher was far from home and was blocking the path, far from the base. Zach tried to avoid him by running off the base path (it was too far to slide) and he collided with the pitcher). Zach was ejected from that game and the next one, which was the final game of the season. A big stink ended up happening because we fought to try and have him be allowed to play the next game (not just us, but his coaches, and even the coaches for the team we played and were going to be playing). It was a big deal in the league.

You all think I'm outspoken here...just watch me when I get going in an e-mail blitz. I get rather outspoken.

Zach is the last kid to be guilty of "malicious malconduct" and was pretty down because of it. Anyway, I was so glad to see him have a good game--he pitched, had a good hit (which I wasn't there for), made a good play in the field, etc.

I'm catching up on American Idol right now.

OK, I've just gotta know what FOAD is!!! It's not one of those Urban Dictionary thingies again, is it?

Glad to hear that Zach had a good game tonight, T&B! Chris pitches, too. I remember that thread about Zach missing his last two games last season, although I didn't remember it was you who posted it. Chris just bowled over a catcher this past Monday night for an inside-the-park HR, and I closed my eyes as he started heading home. That boy's been able to pick me up and carry me around the room since he was eight, and the catcher was a much smaller boy, so I knew where this was all going. Chris must've knocked the poor kid 10 feet, and I just waited for the opposing coach to go ballistic, but no one did. I don't know a lot about baseball, but dh told me that it's ok to do, as long as it's not done maliciously or without reason? It's an 8-10 age group, and there's such disparity in kids' sizes at that age, so I was worried that Chris would hurt the boy, but he was OK. I'm sure Zach was really bummed about missing his games--especially when he didn't mean to run into the pitcher. I know there are rules that need to be followed and all, but if you guys even had the opposing coach on your side, then it certainly seems like they could've recinded the action. Last year, one of the coaches of another team got a kid thrown out of the game because he didn't have his official Little League patch on the sleeve of his uniform. That's just deliberate nastiness and poor sportsmanship--the kid was eight! I hope Zach has a great season this year--I'm sure we'll both have a lot of baseball stories to share.

He's my jerk of a neighbor who blocked my driveway with his car, leaves his dog tied outside to bark (left the dog outside barking for an hour today) and other assorted annoying things.

I remember the posts about your neighbor! Didn't you even have pics of his car(s) like halfway in front of your drive? Some people are just nuts. And I'd go steal his dog while he was away, then keep it for my own, too. Yeah, I would tell him to go FOAD!

Yeah, how did you miss what FOAD is? My DH did call animal control yesterday and they said to keep a log of the barking and to call back with a record. Once they see a trend of the dog being left out for periods of time barking they will send an officer over to talk with them--it doesn't matter if it the dog is barking in the middle of the day. At least they tie the dog now--they used to let it roam and it used to come into our yards and bark at at and poop everywhere. I think that animal control must have picked up their dog for them to have started tying it.

I have a neuro appt today. Don't know why I'm dreading it. Probably because my headaches are not better and I need to discuss that with the dr. I don't think it's a neurological problem, but a hormonal one. Which is good, I suppose. But I also think that I've wasted a lot of time going to him.

Morning Oh Gorgeous Ones!

T&B, I'm sorry about your headaches! I suffer from what my Dr. calls tension migraines, and medication has helped me greatly, but I know what it's like to *not* have meds work as well. It's horrible to have such pain and not have anything help it. I hope everything goes well today!

I was up until 1am with Chris, who has bloody diarreah and some stomach pain. He never told me he's been having it since Monday because he was too embarrassed, but I was wondering why he wasn't that hungry at dinner--the boy's usually a chow-hound. His temp was 98 when he woke up, so no fever, but his Dr. wants to see him when she gets in the office at 2pm. It's always something, isn't it?
