OMG, will I ever catch up with this thread?
We're back from West By God Virginia. Was it ever a long weekend. The team started out doing great--won their first two games, which meant that they didn't have to play until 3:30 this afternoon. They wore themselves out today I think at the pool and the mall, in spite of us trying to keep them cool (and they didn't get enough sleep last night) and they lost that game, which meant no championship ship game. But I'm glad because it would have meant a VERY late night since it's a 3 hour drive.
We had a bleacher accident--bleacher tipped with a couple of our moms on it. They were standing on the back when someone got up from the front seat and the tippy bleacher tumbled back. One mom broke her arm in I believe 3 places. Not a good beginning to the tournament.
Our pina colada/beer/wine party Saturday night was fun. We took over a meeting room at the hotel. I think that the hotel was glad not to have us near the lobby and since the pool was indoors we couldn't be there. We'd never been a drinking group and that was rather humorous.
Oh, the "best"
part was when we were almost to Morgantown (2 1/2 hours from home) we realized that Zachary had forgotten his baseball bag with his bat, baseball gloves, etc in it. I looked on the navigation system and it didn't look like there were any sporting goods stores to get my lefty a glove.
Turned out there was a new Dick's Sporting Goods store at the same exit as the field. Never been so happy to see a Dick's!
OK, let me try to do some catching up since my guess is that Tah-rah won't have cliff notes for every day.
