Good job on the invites! How did the sealing wax go? Was it pretty easy to do?
What kind of car are you looking for?
Haiku is Japanese poetry, A traditional haiku consists of a pattern of approximately 5, 7, and 5 syllable pattern between the lines. They are usually written about nature (and I loved having to write them for my English class because they didnt have to rhyme) or missing Luv :rotfl: .

Well, the whole sealing wax thing was a pain in the tushy so I didn't do it. It would have taken forever!
So, now I have a lovely stamp and 3 and 3/4 sticks of sealing wax. Oh well, live and learn! LOL

We are more than likely getting another van. Probably anothe Caravan or maybe a Town and Country this time. I'd love a Honda but its a little more than we want to spend.

I'm hoping to find something I like and then either pick it up before we leave to camp or after we get back but before Disney. We have all our financing in place so we just need to find something.

Here's a picture of the invitations and accompanying cards. Its not the best picture in the world, but you get the idea. LOL

Oh those are so pretty! You're one talented women! We have van, that the lease is almost up on- but we are probably extending out another year. Here's a little tip- Honda did a could not be beat lease 2 years ago on the Odyssey, they sold tons and tons of them during this time. They leased this way because they came out with the new body style and were trying to get rid of the older style. The model they leased had the DVD player factory installed but no leather seating. Well now these leases are coming due and the market is flooded with them. The auto auction here is only getting about $16,500 for them- that's a steal for a van that probably has less than 30,000 miles on it. You might want to look into it, if you're at all open to a used van. The Honda dealerships here have a ton of their lots.

Thanks! The kit I got to do them came complete. All I did was print. It already had that fern imprint and the ribbon. I don't know if you can see it or not but there is a charm with 2 connected hearts tied to the ribbon. I did add those.

We are open to a used vehicle. I guess I'll have to stop by our local dealer and see what they have. Thanks.

I didn't see the hearts, until I looked closer. I love them. The invites really turned out perfect. Did you have fun doing them?
I have no idea if the van thing is the same in other parts of the country, but at least here (capital of the minivan market) they are everywhere for sale. Private sale are cheaper but on the lots they are a little less than $20,000 with a warranty included.

You made me curious and I had to google what the canopy is called- Chupah. I have now learned something new today- Thanks TG :) .

Coronado is beautiful! You'll have a great time.

So you all need to tell me what you think about this. Last week Ben (my 15yo) went to the eye dr for a check up. He wants contacts, so we started that process (my DH brought him), but since he had his eye checkup (along with the eye dilation) he had a hard time getting contacts in the first time. The contact fitting person (is that the optician, too?) sent him home with a practice pair that is not a Rx and on their way out the door, my DH asked about something to clean them with and she gave them solution to use.

Ben tried practicing at home, but had a hard time getting the contacts in and the solution burned his eyes. I was a bit irritated that she was having him basically learn to do it at home, so when he had problems I told him to wait until he went in for his next session, which was this morning. Before going in, Alyssa said that the solution they gave us was stuff that shouldn't go directly in his eye, but I asked the lady and she told me it was. He had a 1/2 hour session and did make progress, and on our way out, she told me that we should get different solution. She said that she didn't have what I needed and that I should get some from the drug store and what she gave me was for hard and soft lens.

Well, I looked at the stuff closer when I got home and it clearly states that it's not to go directly into the eye, if it does, the eye is supposed to be flushed well with water or saline and if burning continues an eye dr should be consulted. :furious: So when we go back in the morning for another fitting do I totally blow my cool, ask to speak with the dr, send my DH and let him deal with it (not likely to happen), wait until after he gets the hang of the contacts to complain, or what? What an idiot!

And this is the practice that my DH insists on using, but I will not be bringing Zach here when he gets contacts (he's not ready yet even though he wants them) and I made that clear with my DH.

I think you should speak to somebody when you get there, T&B, preferably the doctor, or at least voice your concerns to the person who sent Ben home with the wrong solution in the first place. That's just not right that she directed him to put anything in his eye that shouldn't go there, and it's pretty shocking to me that these instructions came from the eye doctor's office!

As I'm typing this, I'm convincing myself that the doctor should know about it.

If the doctor isn't available, ask for the office manager. That's terrible. :sad2:

what she said,

but did you really have to drive all the way to this little tiny hole in tha wall town to the stinking rotten eye clinic we have to get contacts?

You'd think we'd have better around here, wouldn't you? What happened with our eye drs is that about a year or so again, my DH had what we assumed was an eye emergency. He called our opthamologists and they wanted him to wait until the next day to be seen. We weren't sure what was going on with his eye, but something was and he is extremely near sighted and there is a history of detached retinas in his family, so we take eye problems seriously, so he called his current dr and he saw him that day. He did not have detached retina, but another problem. His problem hasn't gotten worse (but hasn't gotten better), but it's stable.

So, my DH got pissed at the first dr for not seeing him that first day, which I can understand. And he doesn't want any of us going back to them. I've gone back, however. Alyssa went to the new dr and now Ben. Knowing what I know, I don't want Zach going, at least not if he's getting contacts.

And on top of it, the office didn't seem that clean to me. When I sat down in the waiting area, the window ledges needed a good dusting. Or maybe they assumed that people couldn't see the dead bugs.

Geez, I hate confrontation!!! I will say something else to her. I will aslo ask why they don't have the starter packs of the correct solution. I think that I will have my DH talk with the dr, though. He's the one that has insisted that we go there and has met him. Or at least call and talk to the office manager.

T&B- I'm sorry that Ben is having such a rough time. I too hate conformation, but when it comes to something like this you have to speak up. For the pure reason that the DR might not know what is going on within his office and he needs to know. DR's are sometimes so busy deal with the day to day stuff that they have no idea what is happening to the actual patients and care that his staff is giviing to them.
Missy1961- I can't wait for a trip report from you. Since I'm sitting out this year (No WDW for me :sad1: ), I'm going to need you to tell me all that I missing.
Froggy- Hey  . How are you?
