Great! Now I can expect hate mail from the avian community.

.

Look on the bright side--there is very little chance that they will call you a birdbrain. :thumbsup2

Oh, and I need some things from Trader Joes, could you pick them up for me? This not driving thing SUCKS!

I am making a thanksgiving dinner today, this may get ugly! Yeah Scraps, hows the foot?

I really should get off my tushie and get going. I have to go buy light bulbs and floor cleaner at either Target or Lowes, then go to Earthfare for Snap pea Crisps Oh then there's that whole cleaning the house thing I'm supposed to do today. I'm off to shower. BBL

I love my MIL, I just called to get her stuffing recipe and she put the biggest smile on my face. She gave it to me and asked how I was doing, I said vow of jolly was intact, she said she expected nothing less from me and told me how much the family loves me  I needed that!

 Good Morning!

We have a snow day here today, thank goodness! I have so much to do and now I have a chance to get a little caught up on things. Hopefully I'll be able to get out and do some shopping but the roads look kinda bad right now. But at least I can do my cards, wrap, get my packages ready for the Post office. Why, even though I buy my presents early, do I wait for the last minute to ship? I have to send 4 boxes to TN. :sad2:
Maybe we'll have tomorrow off too.....:rolleyes1 My family's side is celebrating Christmas on Saturday so I have a lot to do to get ready for that. I still haven't even figured out what I'm cooking to bring! Boy do I need to get my butt in gear.

I haven't read back for the last few days. Hope everyone is well!

Hi 4's!
busy, busy girl!

Still here! We are now going to leave around 7:30 tomorrow morning! No snow in the forecast for southern Oregon/northern California, just rain most of the way down.
Glad the weather is cooperating. This time of the year it can be awful south of Roseburg. Stop for ice cream at...is it Rose Hill? I can't believe I'm forgetting the famous place to stop for ice cream. I'd have to look at the map. And wave at Roseburg for me. My parents lived there for several years after I was out of high school and that's where I got married. Pretty area.

How's the jolly meter today?
Right now it might be in negative numbers. The only words that DH has spoken to me this morning were with anger in his voice. He likely wasn't mad, but just using his normal tone of voice. And my jolly was gone before. Didn't sleep well last night at all and today I have a few errands and a neuro appt. I have to get on some migraine preventitive after having the terrible headache last week. :headache:

You get back with me on the ice cream place! You have a few hours till we get down to southern Oregon! I'll inform the driver that we have to stop there! I'll also let Molly, our GPS know!
JOLLY,JOLLY,JOLLY!!

I have enough jolly to share today.

I better get my butt moving. I have a bunch of crap to get done before my sister gets here with her kids. I'm babysitting my two nephews this afternoon for a few hours. One is the same age as Molly, and the other is the new baby. With all those little people in my house, I'll probably be looking for the yellow brick road out of Munchkinland before the day is over.

Scrappy~

How's your foot?

Eh. Today is not a good day to ask. I slept without the night splints on last night cause I just needed a really good night of sleep. It is so hard to sleep really well with them on. The trade off is that I am in a lot of pain today in both feet.

My belief that I would be walking by Christmas was a bit premature--or Christmas has just come way to soon. If I keep the splint on it full time (except for walking) then I can walk on it for about 30 mintues in the morning--enough time to get showered and dressed and make breakfast then I have to sit and put it up for a few hours. Then I get another maybe 30 minutes total to be on it for the rest of the day without too much pain-- that includes all potty breaks etc.

If I go out and don't keep it elevated then I pay for it. It still has a lot of swelling at the surgery site. I think at this point it is because of my personal healing/scarring problem. Going out for the day means I will be in a lot of pain for at least a day or two. And the pain is still enough to make me not feel comfortable driving on the main roads around here.

I am still really optomistic though that when it heals things will be much better than they were. When I can walk on it it feels really good.

How is yours doing Pops?

I'm pretty sure it's Rice Hill. I asume it's open this time of the year and was always a big travel stop for a lot of people driving on I5. Worth a try, at least, and it's right off the freeway. It's about 1/2 way between Eugene and Roseburg. :yay:
