Good grief, can you believe it, now people think teachers are stealing fund raising money???????? :headache:

Funny how it's always the same people who suspect everything in every school related thread is always the teacher's fault.

Tiff, you and I are among the most hated of the professions. How does it feel to be despised?

Hey.....the lunch ladies were getting knocked the other day too. :lmao:

One of our desktops just bit the dust (and the other one is very slow) and Ron is talking about getting a Mac.

You'll love it! Once you go Mac, you never go back. I have a MacBook, DH has a MacBook and we bought one for DBro as his graduation present. We're slowly converting the whole house to Mac. I'll never buy a PC again.

The LUNCH LADIES????????? They are my BEST FRIENDS!!!!!!! Who could hate lunch ladies? Oh yeah, I read that thread, about not giving extra meat when they ran out of green beans.

Tig, the haters are more vocal.

Paige I can understand, we no longer tell his family when we are away, they want to say how do you do that? I know where we stand financially not them. They find out when they decide to call and want to do things, and it is like -- sorry I am not there :rotfl: :rotfl:

but it is ok for them to go everywhere and do whatever, they are so hypocritial!! I always tell them to sweep off their porch before sweeping off mine ;)

Yep, that's the one. We have an awesome cafeteria at the high school. I don't think anyone could complain about it. But then again people will find anything to complain about. (TC if you read this I was singling you out, just dissers in general.)

My kids must be getting soaked today on their trip. They are going to be miserable when they get home tomorrow.

I wasn't going to tell her at all, but she said she was thinking of coming for Halloween and going trick or treating with the kids. So obviously I had to say we wouldn't be here, and then I'm not going to lie about where we'll be.

We aren't telling my MIL we are going to Florida after Thanksgiving. Not because of money reasons but whenever we decide to go she suddenly decides to go visit her sister at the same time and wants to meet up with us. Um, no thanks. BTDT. Once was enough. She's gonna be miffed when she finds out, but oh well.

yikes!! I can understand that one, I guess the cat did have to come out of the bag :rotfl: sorry :(

I can understand this also. My family doesn't know, by my internet friends know, and some of my close friends here at home.

Must be a trend going on nowadays :thumbsup2

I can COMPLETELY understand this. I started a thread a while ago "To Tell or Not To Tell" my MIL that we're going to WDW in December. I really have no desire to see her, and neither does DH. Spending time with her in Disney is not joyous. She likes to have control and manipulate everything. Anyway, we decided not to tell her. I'm sure I'll hear it when she eventually does find out about it.

I remember that thread. Glad you decided not to say anything. We'll deal with the consequences later.

I texted with Caro and she was at her moms resting a bit and are now getting ready to head back to the hospital. She'll update us later.

Good morning, everybody

:rotfl: :rotfl: yes us mac users are a tad different, but that is ok :thumbsup2

Debbie, I understood everything you said the first time you said, cause I am one of those Mac weirdos too.

Thus I was engaged 5 times;)

Were you really, Angel? That's kind of a coinkydink, because I was asked 5 times - I only said yes to two of them, though. :rotfl2:

Come on over to the dark side with us, Tig. You'll love it here.

I remember that, 4s. Don't tell her!

:grouphug: for Caro and Aimee.

I just got an email out of the blue from someone I don't even know who wants to pay me to plan their WDW vacation. I did this a couple of times several years ago for friends, and they referred this person. Now I just have to decide how much I want to charge them. :thumbsup2

Mornin' y'all. (I am trying to be from the south--I hear it is warmer there!)

Paige, I believe that teachers are loved a whole lot more than they are hated.

Oh not on the DIS though. I often find myself wondering why on earth teachers keep doing all that they do if the general public has the same attitude as seems prevalent on the DIS. Man, people are raunchy to teachers around here. Thankgoodness that Wishing lady is homeschooling now. It couldn't be good for her kids to have to face that bitterness she has against teachers. Don't know that that's good in hsing either, but at least it gives the poor schools a break.

Caro--I am so sorry honey. You and your family are in my prayers.

I don't know what happened with Shar's DD. Can someone update me or is it in the CH. I tried to page back but I couldn't find it and since my stamina on the computer is limited I am looking for help.

Angel--I want to know if you were engaged to the same guy 5 different times or 5 different guys. :lmao:

He has his moments sometimes when I know why I married him.

Then there are other times when I'd like to smother him in his sleep and bury him in a shallow grave. :rotfl:

OK...I'm leaving for real, bbl.

I guess that makes Lara MY sister wife!

Thanks for the hug Danger.

Oh, and don't go on the CB again.

I swear I read that as thanks for the huge donger  :lmao: Then I realized, wait a minute, Roadie hasn't been here today :rotfl:

I just had knee surgery in April. It's really bothering me a LOT again already. And I keep seeing ads for knee replacements on tv. Tell me I'm being paranoid. Ya think I should see my ortho (the good looking nice one who did my knee) when I get back from the meet?

DH has decided for sure on a Mac, so that's what we'll be getting. I don't know any different, so wasn't about to disagree. The timing is horrible with the money situation being what it is, but the kids need a working computer for school and I'm NOT sharing mine. :rotfl: Ben will get a laptop for graduation. Alyssa has a Mac laptop. Any idea which desktop to get?

Hello!

I'm home, bought $300 worth of stuff at Kohls for the kids :headache: . I certainly hope I'm really done now.

Pumpkins are carved....both kids asked for scary pumpkins...hope the neighbors don't complain that I'm causing their kids cruel and unusual punishment.

Now I'm going to take a nap.
