No, MM, he doesn't need counseling, there's nothing wrong with him, there's only something wrong with me. These are his words when I try to talk to him about counseling.
I used to think he pushed away because of the illness, but he is doing very well now, the damage has stopped despite their predictions, and he is functioning well.
And then, I could get into a whole discussion, at what point do I decide sacrificing the well being of 3 people for 1 is not worth it?
This is so not easy. I hope people realize. I've been dealing with these illness issues since diagnosis over 5 years ago.
Then if you discount all of that, there's that other HUGE issue that just can't be ignored.
