Can someone please wave a magic wand and just make all of this go away? Just got off the phone with Linda because my Mom was just exhausted. They weren't able to do the biopsy because there was too much fluid in her lung. Thye drained another liter of fluid today. That's a total of almost 4 liters they have drained all together since she has been sick. I do now have the type of cancer it is, adenocarcinoma http://www.intelihealth.com/IH/ihtIH/WSIHW000/9339/24402.html we just still don't know anything more than that. Linda says she has a feeling that it's more advanced than what they are thinking. Next wednesday my Mom has an appt with a thoracic surgeon with a possible procedure on the 23rd, if they think it will help. What they would do is basically put talc in her lung(s) to dry it out. I guess the fluid building up is all part of the cancer. She isn't sleeping well because she is so worried about things. She has no energy, so doesn't do things, which in turn could lead to blood clots.
I have to stay positive for both her and the girls, but it's so hard.

paige, do you have any idea what a Federal Impact Aid form is? The kids brought them home today and the school is very insistant we fill them out. It is asking if we work or live on government property and I guess they get money out of it somehow?

I am just annoyed at how they are hyping this stuff to the kids. They have offerered HUGE rewards to the kids and classes that bring the form back TOMORROW. I have to fill out work and home information etc.. They already have that on the all the other damn forms I filled out. If they want this money so bad then they need to fill them out.

I am considering just writing "N/A" on the form and sending it back like that. It pisses me off when they do this kind of stuff.

Since I'm having a pity party.....
Alana is now getting a "F" in science. She'd be passing if she turned in assignments. She has only turned in 2 since the beginning of school. Since she hasn't turned assignments in, she can't take the tests. Not taking tests results in a F in class. Her teacher is even willing to let her do 1/2 the problems on the assignments. Alana claims she turned in the work today so that she can take the tests tomorrow. I told her I was going to email her teacher to make sure.
Kathryn had her intake appt for counseling today. She will start once a week next Thursday. We will more than likely also be getting a psych evaluation for her down the road. The counselor wants to start off with the counseling first before we do anything else. he was very intrigued with her. He did an ADHD evaluation and it showed almost no attention issues, but major hyperactivity and impulsiveness. He said that is very unusual and will have to look into that. He also found her very insightful for an 8 year old, almost wise beyond her years. So overall a good appt, I'm just having a hard time dealing with it all.
