Okay. I just started sewing, but I think I might be pretty good at it. I made this bag the other day.

I took a simple tote bag design and added two side pockets with gromets

and three interior pockets and added a magnetic snap

So what do you think?

OK, here is my whine for the night, so POed about this...........

OK, so I get this coupon thing from the High School football team, with all these local places on it...Papa Johns Pizza being one of them. So, tonight I call them and tell her I want to order two large, two toppings and I have a B1G1 free coupon, she says OK. I go pick it up and again, I say to the girl...not sure if it is the same one or not, as there a few, I have this coupon. She gives me my total $23.xx and I give her my coupon and say, what is my total with the coupon. She is like oh, let me see and looks over at something and at the same time SWIPES MY CREDIT CARD!

So, she gives me the thing to sign and says nothing. I am like, what about my coupon. Totally acts dumb and simply says, Oh, we can't back the charge out. Here, I will give you your coupon back for next time!!!! Totally calm, no sorry about that, nothing...just very matter of fact.

I asked for the manager and Miss 15 year old Asst. Manager comes up, really calm and same thing, oh, yeah there is nothing we can do, but here is your coupon back so you can use it next time!

***!!!!!???

Can they do this?? It was SO staged, that girl knew what she was doing.

Another interesting thing is, as soon as this happens, EVERYONE disappears. There were 5 of them up there when I came in. Very odd!

What would be my next step? DH says call the credit card company and tell them. I did NOT sign the credit card slip (it was in my hand and I just left, I didn't refuse, just an after thought really, not sure it is worth beans)! Took the pizza of course, as it was 8pm and the kids were starving, etc. Wasn't about to start over. Figured I would deal with it tomorrow. I would assume a real Manager works there at some point.

Thanks, I'm thinking about making some and selling them on ebay. I'm going to do different styles and patterns and stuff. I've got some fabrics to make some football bags that I think are going to be really cute. I wish I had a way to get them monogrammed though.

Okay, DD is home safe and sound from the dance and apparently there was NO socializing with boys while there so all is still good with the world

I was a little unimpressed that they just opened the doors at the end, in the dark, and told them to leave. Kids were everywhere-- all over the parking lot and the yard and the sidewalks. I had hoped they would have a bit more supervision over making sure that they got got home with the right people and not being able to run off, but I guess that is just me not adjusting to the differences between elementary school and middle school.

Do it, Ash. I bought a diaper bag like that one at a store in Myrtle Beach last year for my nephew's baby. It was brown and white checked and I had the baby's name embroidered (how the hell do you spell embroidered? I can't even say it.) on it. Everyone loved it.

I would have preferred that. This was too late for ME to be going out!! They had tons of parents and teachers and administrators there during the dance, but they were all inside. The beginning and the end the kids were pretty much unsupervised outside. That seems like an invitation to trouble.

But what do I know They have been doing this for years, I have only been a middle school parent for a few weeks.
