oh gee make me stop I gotta get a life !!

Good afternoon. :grouphug: Back from the doc's. The ulcer on the back of Myster's leg is starting to heal but the ones one the front :scared: not so much. They did tell us they got approval from our insurance for the procedure on the 23rd so that's good.

Doc is not sure what's up with me. I did have a stomach virus a couple of weeks ago and with my past he thinks I may still be trying to shake it off. That along with sleep deprivation. He is going to do full blood work though. I also set appt's with the gastro and the hoohaw checker. The latter should make Shug happy. :rotfl:

A FEW THINGS

1)Where is Auntie Im going? I thought her dh was gone until Sunday and she had a Ficus problem?

2) When you hear Ficus, do you think of Scott Farkus from A Christmas Story?

3) Where can I buy drapes for 4 9+ feet windows (8 panels in all) without having to take out a loan (and you know they need to be colorful AND cute)???

4) Margaritas are good.

so I googled hoohaw...and this is the first pic that came up, I didnt know you had a boat myst :rolleyes1

I need to hem some curtains. And I need to find some kind of shade that fits into one of those little window arches above the regualar window. And I need someone to come over here and help me hang curtain rods and shelves. And I need to order a mattress for that cradle because it's not going to get here in time.

i have HUGE windows too..and need to replace curtains

Ugh.
The ones I like at Target are $100 each. You do the math. I found some I liked at JCPenney, but now they're gone. They do seem to have the best prices though. I am just trying to find some that don't make me think of 'Aunt Mildred.'

Usually I make my own, but at $20+ per yard that would be pricey as well, plus I need a new sewing machine.

So, for 2-3 years time, I must spend $800 for drapes for the living area only. Not taking into account the $$$$$$ I already spent for the kids rooms and our room (which we need to take ours back to Ikea~NIGHTMARE TRIP!).

That does not take into account all the cleaning supplies, rugs, bathroom supplies, 'Ikea furniture', power converters, etc. that we have to buy to move EVERY TIME. Does the military give a rat's butt? No!

We're talking a Disney Cruise amount of money for this move. And I'm not even adding in the Disney Cruise amount that we spent on a new car since gas is $8 a gallon.

Sorry. This move has been hard on me.

I don't but I do still have equipment that needs checking. :rolleyes1 I had a more smartass answer but ya know..points and all. ;)

1)I don't know...a ficus problem sounds like a personal issue.
2) No, but I love that movie. Ho Ho Ho
3) Have a sewing machine? IM will iron the hems for you I'm sure.
4) Why yes, yes they are....

Im sorry briar...I am not a military wife for the reasons you are talking about. I dont do well with change like that even tho I am not a huge planner and like to go with the flow. There was someone once who meant a huge amount to me, but he didnt want to give up the navy and I wasnt going to ask him to. hang in there you only have two weeks to have some fun with your pals.

ok that post sounded shallow.....as if I didnt care enough. I really did care for him...hes a great guy. I just was scared I would end up resenting him and ruining everything...so I ended it 6 months before we were to be married....

is ficus a funny word to anyone else?
margaritas are super yummy with extra salt.
myst you could always PM me your smart butted comment.

Tomorrow is Eid al-Fitr - maybe it has something to do with that? It's a Muslim holiday celebrating the end of Ramadan - the holy month.

Hi everyone! Hope you all have a great trip together! :)

Denae
I bet that's it. Thanks! I was sure wondering and Jake was overjoyed that he didn't have homework. :rotfl: Hi Denae! :wave2:

I need to take a shower and go do stuff but I'm just so lazy! I want a nap.
If you feel like taking it easy, do so.

I'm sorry, Myst, that Den is having such a hard time with the ulcers. I hope you start feeling better soon, too.

I'm trying to think of a joke, but the percocet is slowing down my dirty mind. ;)

Our front windows do not have window coverings on them. When we first moved in we were spending so much money on other things that we postponed that expensive purchase (they're big windows and some are oddly shaped) and after awhile we thought about it, but I was afraid that our dog would rip them up or the cats would do something to them. So we still have nothing. :rotfl:

My front windows are also nekkid...I have a huge bay window and I hated to cover it up.

We figure the neighbors can get a good show.

I have nothing on my 3 front living room windows. The woodwork is real pretty and we have frilly shades so that adds a little. Besides, I would imagine the cats would have too much fun climbing them.
In the dining room we have a 9' window. I have a top valance on them and thats it. Its a very sunny window so all our plants sit in front of it. I had curtains there but it just didn't work well.

i have 10 windows on the front....6 of which are 9ft or so..if youve seen the pics of my house then you know what Im talking about ...think cabin in the smokeys
