Yep, I have me a little penpal who is a Texan at heart that I have got to visit. :)

Hello David, how are the pretty birdies?

hmmm, did you get some mail? ;)

I always get way more mail than I need, but I did get your baby's letter, yes. She is entering 3rd grade in the Fall, yes? What month does she turn 9?

Hi guys! :wave2:

I've been busy doing stuff all morning, and I figured it was time to come see what's up in DISland. Anything super exciting that I've missed?

I've just read back Bobbin, as I was busy all morning too, and it looks like many of us were.

March and yes, 3rd grade.
As you can see, her penmanship is not the best. She does normally spell better too. Hopefully you could read it all right. I suggested she write the thank you, but the thoughts were all hers!

Hi Paige

I actually have a lot of stuff I'm trying to accomplish today, so I should probably get back to it. Besides, I cut the tip of my finger open washing the blender and it really hurts to type. :guilty:

I'll check back in a bit. Don't start trouble without me.

It was in letter form, she drew her own lines to attempt to keep her words straight on the page and spaced, she kept to the subject, she used punctuation, she used complete thoughts and sentences, she had opening, body and closing........oh, and she spelled most of her digraphs and blends well...........she did well. :thumbsup2

Actually, Robin, think I'll nap a bit.

well, I got semi-busted at work last night.
I do take the blame for it though. My supervisor caught me on the internet last night. Before she even said anything, I told her I would stay off. A couple hours later, she comes up behind me. She said, 'were you just on the internet again?" I told her, no, I don't believe I was. (and I wasn't) She says, 'hmm, from back there it looked like you were. If I catch you again, I'll be giving you a verbal warning.' Can we say threatening and trying to intimidate? She is a temporary supervisor for 30 days, we just got her last Friday. I held my tongue, but could of mentioned the numerous smoke breaks that people take and that my lead stops working every night at 10:00.(we are off at 1:30) But I chose not too, since I'm having reason to believe that I'm one of the numerous people in the building that are being singled out for things. I talked to the union steward again and he told me to add it to my documentation. Things are getting really nasty at work.
So anyway, I'm staying away from the internet at work. This includes breaks and lunch. I don't want to give them any fuel. I don't deny that I'm on the internet way more than I should be at work, I knew it was wrong. It's the being watched, having "notes" on me and singling out I don't like.
I'm going to miss alot that is going on here, but I also do need to keep my job. There have been a couple people walked out in the past week from my building. Supervision seems to be on a rampage for some reason. They are also doing alot of higher in from off the street. These people are making about 8.00 less an hour thatn what i'm making.

thank you Teacher Paige! I liked the lines! I'll let her know you got it! Was the magnet still in one piece?

OK, since I appear to be the thread-killer today, I'm going to go pick up the girls from the library, stop at Quizno's for lunch, drop the girls off at home and head to work. I'll see you all late tonight when everyone is already in bed.

So, got some bad news. My mother's biopsy results came back, it was malignant (breast cancer). I'm at work so I'm trying to keep it together. They'll operate in the next few weeks and then to either radiation therapy or chemo.

Anyway, they got it really early....so I'm trying to concentrate on that. Sorry to be a downer.

I am so sorry Lara, prayers for your mom :guilty:

Oh, baby, I'm so sorry. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help, Lara. I'll be gone in Myrtle Beach before, but after that (and this week) I'll be around. If you want I can go to wherever you are sometime and we can just cry together. Damn cancer...I hate it!

So sorry Lara. My mother had breast cancer a few years ago. She drove herself daily to chemo over the mountains 2 1/2 hours there and 2 1/2 hours back because my dad was too much of a donkey to do it. She's a survivor. It's been over 5 years. Scary as it is, she can beat it.

ETA: her mother also had it and her sister had it twice......sis is in her 60s now, and dear grandma is 90.
