Oh, Paige, I don't even have words to express what I'm feeling.
Shug, glad you made the appt--yes, it's embarrassing to explain to a dr, but they've seen and heard it all.
4's, I don't blame you one bit for wanting to get out of Dodge.
My big treat for the EMG was going shopping and what did I buy? A bra from Victoria's Secret.

One of the fancy wireless ones that I've read about.

We'll see what my girls have to say about that purchase.
Tig - maybe I will be coming your way afterall.
Well of course I want you moving here, but hopefully you'll get to go where you want to go.
So this is kinda good news Tig?
Yes, it is, and I'm glad that it was conclusive. I was concerned that the test wouldn't find anything. When the neuro dr was doing the strength tests before he did the EMG, one of them was me lifting my leg and holding it up while he did counter pressure and pushed it down. Fine on the right leg/knee, but when he tried a couple times on the left one he stopped and looked at me. I said, "I'M TRYING". That must have been the damaged nerve....
No school for us is right. And it isn't bad out there at all but I guess better safe than sorry.
Let me tell you when I drive in DC that totally freaks me out.

And if there are ones that are close together that's even worse.
My DC driving horror story was when Zachary was a baby--must have been about 7 months old, give or take a month. He had bad asthma and he spit up a lot so the ped wanted to have a milk scan test done on him (since reflux can make asthma worse). Basically a baby drinks a bottle of radioactive milk and they are scanned over the course of however long to see if they are refluxing. The problem was that we had to go to Children's Hospital in DC, I'd never driven in DC, and I had to do it with a hungry child (he had to have an empty tummy so he would drink the radioactive milk). I got lost, he was screaming, and I didn't think I'd ever find my way there. I don't remember why we didn't leave our other kids with someone so my DH could have also been in the car, but I guess that was in my "I can do anything" phases.
Oh, and yes, Zach did have reflux, but it wasn't the cause of his asthma. He did grow out of it, however. Waiting for that to return when he's older.
