PM magic hour question

My family will be going to WDW during spring break and I read somewhere that for the PM extended hour in MK during that time will be from 12midnight - 3am. Does anyone know if that's true? That seems ridiculous. I was expecting for the night that MK has the PM magic hour, the park will close early for the regular guest. Any info is appreciated!

The worse thing about this whole new magic hour stuff is having to run back to the front of the park to get your wrist band.

Thanks. I guess what I read is true. The PM magic hour for MK is from midnight - 3am. That is insane. I guess there won't be any guest with young children, like my family, taking advantage of the PM magic hour.

We always went when my kids were young (still do, 17 and 14 yo). We always went back to our room for a cooling swim in the afternoon (this was in the summer) and took a nap. We headed back to the parks at 5 or so in the afternoon. Course we then slept in the next morning. It s darned if your do and darned if you don't, it is a great time. Really you are right not to many people did it. I think one time we rode Big Thunder 6 times in a row.

Since it doesn't cost anything anymore it might be worth a try for you.

I recently went to the midnight to 3:00 am Extra Magic Hours at Magic Kingdom. It was marvellous. We had such a good time, we didn't leave MK until 3:25 am. There were some families with children there, so I guess they had their children take naps during the day.

But it is only fair during spring break/Easter time to keep MK open late for all guests. There are so many guests here and lines are so long during the day that Magic Kingdom stays open late so that EVERYONE can enjoy the park.

But the 12-3 extra hours was great. The park started clearing out about 11:30 pm. We walked onto every ride we cared about that night. There were several rides that we rode multiple times. It was the most fun I have had at MK in years.
