The FAQs has three links to great info for pooh sized guests.

The only major problem I have had are due to my disabilities. The only ride I could not get out of was the rockets at Disneyland and once I was on my knees crawling backwards out of a cage at Casey Junior at Disneyland.:lmao:

From personal knowledge and from boards most rides you will not have trouble but some are a bit tight for long legged people like Pooh. You can find pictures of ride vehicles if you have questions.

Thank you so much for your information....................

Pooh sized I like that SMILE

Makes me sound magical like Disney :rotfl2:

I too am extra-pooh sized. I am tall and LARGE. Most of the rides in the newer parks were built with larger sizes in mind so I usually have very few problems in AK, DHS and Epcot.

The only rides I have problems on are unbelievably - the front of IASWAA the front has NO leg room and I ended up almost on my knees through the whole ride and very uncomfortable. POTC - again the leg room was tough but if you can sit where you can wiggle some during the ride it is best to keep your knees from aching. Norway and Mexico rides are the same way.

The other things are I ask to go through the handicapped entrance at COP and TTA because they are older rides and the turnstile is very narrow and I carry most of my weight in my hips and rear end I get stuck.

In Space Mountain, EE, TT etc. there is a car you can test out before you even get on the ride to make sure you fit well. Ask the attendant to try the car and someone will take you back to it. It is behind the scenes and you do not have to try it out in front of everyone. If you fit you can join the ride or if you do not there is usually an exit right near by and you can go on your way.

Hope this helps some! :goodvibes

Oh I'm Pooh sized alright but as short as Tink. I had no real problem getting on rides. Since I need next to no leg room it's usually ok. Oh except at Figment's land of imagination or something like that. The seat was ok but I had to literally get on my tip toes to get into the car since I have both butt and belly going on. And the same went for the teacups. But out of all the ride two have just two I had to wiggle into wasn't that bad. Have fun!

Some attractions with theater seating can be tight, Muppets 3D and Carousel of Progress to name a few.

Off topic, I am from Southern Illinois too!! We live in Carbondale, IL.

the turnstile at HM is tight even for skinny folks; why they didn't change that in the refurb, i don't know... oops, sorry off topic. Also tall people have issues w/ Space Mtn and Astro Orbiter, and I've heard small issues w/ barnstormer. As a fluffy chick myself, I can say that the only issue I have had are with SE and JII, both b/c like the pp, I am short, so have to stand on tiptoe; and God help me if I forget and have my hip pack on too:rotfl2:

The Hyperion at DLR and I was squeezed in by a triple pooh lady, oh the pain of them seats. I am more top heavy and over all stuffed. My friend who was "way skinnier" woud get stuck in turnstiles and have to do the tiptoes dance through the turnstiles. My neighbor had problems with the Maliboomer and other drop down rides as he was barrel chested and tall yet seat belts were no problem.

It is not your weight except on some rides like the Orange Stinger. It is your body shape and advice depends on that shape. Pirates and Small world do not let you stretch your legs out like in a theater. I have had more than one Jungle Cruise knee to knee with someone but usually you can work that out. Long legged persons need to watch out for the rides that have solid backs like Pirates. I did fine on Barnstormer at DLR but it was a bit small but you should be fine as it is a short ride.

Once I was stuck on Screamin at DCA and we all had to wait for an E stop to be over. I was fine as I love to have a loose harness and I brought water and had a snack in my bag. The guys a couple rows back were complaining as they were getting cramped from the long wait as they has long legs. I am short and prepared, lol. Must have been there 15 minutes, lol, or more but I did not care. Bathroom, snacks, water and get comfortable just in case.

You will be fine.

I am very pooh size and have found trouble with the front seats on the Test Track. the seat that is best suited for tall people and big people in general is the middle front row seat. One thing i have noticed when on the rides that run continuously like haunted mansion and TTA is that you only have so long to get out before you run out of room to get out. If you know you will need time to get off the ride grab your bag in one hand and make sure you are on the side that exits out and you will be primed to get out when it is time to get out. I had trouble getting into the Norway boat ride back in December because I was afraid I may not be able to get out of the seat afterwards. I think I will ask when I am down in April to see if I can get front seat.

Most of the Cast members at the turnstiles make judgement calls regarding whether a guest of pooh size will make it through the turnstile or should they open the side gate for them. When I didn't get a scooter offsite I had to ask to be let in through the gate instead of the turnstile sometimes because either they were busy or they just didn't think it would be a problem for me to get in through the turnstile.

One thing for those that are going to DLR in California, the haunted mansion attraction has turnstiles at the end of the ride and if you are pooh size of any size and have trouble getting through the entry turnstiles then it would be suggestive that you let the cast member in the ride that you need to go through the handcap exit (which is going back up the elevators) to get out.

Thank you all so much for your posts...........it has really helped me out. I can't wait to go I am so excited SMILE

Also any ride with a seatbelt, pull it all the way out before you sit down, but I have found the seatbelts are very generous at WDW.

Oh yeah; like the pp said, extend the seatbelt all the way but also, hold each side in one hand as you sit down. Trust me, learned this one the hard way.:)

mrsksomeday I forgot to post earlier you said you were in Carbondale I do believe well I am about 40 miles north of Mt Vernon Ill

I weight 240 and short so my belly is big. The only rides I worry about is Everest because It just clicks for me not much to spare. They heve a test seat you can try before you ride. and the only other ride I fell tight is space mountain which is closed now for months. You should be ok with the rest.

If you are a tall pooh or just plain tall you will likely have trouble on the teacups. I love them but, I am 5'10 hubby is 6'2 and we barely fit in there with the girls, they had to keep their feet up in the seat! Insane lol next time, 1 kid, 1 adult per teacup lol

I was just in Carbondale and Marion yesterday shopping. Did you know that the Office Depot in Carbondale is going out of business?? There are some good deals but they will go down further in price.

I'm glad I found this thread. Thanks for the information. I'm excited for our next trip.

Have a nice day everyone.

I didn't know that about office depot. Maybe I should try there for my card stock for my character autographs. Thinking I am going to do that this time for myself for my scrap book

Thanks for the information

This kind of goes with the seat belt issue is seats with arms. Some of the attractions are theater seating. Ones that come to mind are Hall of Presidents, Country Bear Jamboree, Honey I Shrunk the Audience, Muppets 3D. They can be hard to sit down in if you don't sit on the edge of the seat and slide back. I find that if I try to just sit down from the top, I can't do it, but if I slide back I am fine.
