I got some tank tops and shorts at jcpenney.com last week for a good price. In their outlet section under womens then click plus size. They also have some capris. I got a nice pair of kahki Lee shorts for $8 and St. Johns Bay Shorts for $6 and the tank tops were $4.99 i think.
I have found some nice stuff at Kohls - and Wal-Mart & K-Mart both had some cute stuff for spring. Just watch quality - I know some of Kohls stuff has shrunk when I have washed it before. But I got some nice scoop neck tees at Wal-Mart 2 or 3 years ago that I'm still wearing and still look nice. So you just have to shop around some. Good luck!!
I've found the best plus sized stuff at Dilliards in the south...Kohl's in the north (I know there are Kohl's down here but they don't seem to be as nice).
The key for warm weather vacation shopping is to do it all the time ...especially in August and September. I found Dilliards has great sales. Another option is Costco & Sam's Club. Lord & Taylor's on sale is also good but I've never looked for recreational clothes there.
Then there is always places like Ashley Stewart, Cato's or Lane Bryants. Truthfully I would never shop plus size on line...people are just so many different shapes it is hard to make it work out. Especially for bathing suits...those I keep a look out for Delta Burke suits on sale because I'm pretty top heavy.
Kmart has some great jeans, shorts and capris that are are made by Chic brand and they are very comfortable in several plus sizes that I love..I also like the White Stag round necked t-shirts that Walmart carries, all are pretty reasonable and what I wear to Disney mostly....
The Elisabeth customer is one of 65 million American women size 14 and up who doesn't define herself by her size. Like her Liz Claiborne counterpart, she wants clothes that are flattering and feminine. That are stylish and comfortable. That put a twist on the trends.

I've had good luck with the clearance sections of coldwatercreek.com, landsend.com, ullapopken.com. junonia.com and silhouettes.com.
I usually check fatwallet.com for shipping codes and other discounts first.
Other than those, I haunt the clearance racks at Target, can't beat their prices and the quality has been decent.
Most not all of these websites have stores. You can go to there websites to find locations. Stores general speaking have more to offer than there websites.
I LOVE Junonia. They are expensive but they have wonderful, great quality plus size clothes. I've bought the biker short/underwear to wear under my other shorts and dresses so my legs do not rub together. They were a godsend when I went to Disney in August!!
Their clothes are high quality and specfically for plus size ladies.
