Hi

I am so upset that we had to cancel our holiday in Aug/Sept with TCD, because we were going to move at the time, but recently we have decided we want to stay where we are? To be honest I was not happy with TCD and the school declined our request for Casey to be off school for a week. So we cancelled.

We are really really missing Disney and DLRP just is not enough for me. Dh would be happy to go to DLRP, but if there was a way that we could go then we would def be on that plane. Anyway sorry I am rambling here. Thats never a surprise when it comes to my threads :lmao:

Our plan of action of where we want to go and dates.

We want to leave on or around the 15th Oct for 2 weeks. We are not interested in hiring the car for the full duration of the holiday if this saves us some money. We mainly want to go to Disney, water parks and visit US.

I have a flight from Continental with 1 stop over at NWK for £1892.00 which is a Expedia Special (pity we cant book it just yet with my NYC trip on the 14th March :goodvibes ) and £1232 for our hotel at Port Orleans via Disney uk.

It will be 2 adults and 3 children. Is the MYW with no expiration with water parks a good deal? I have been looking on maple leaf and the 10 day ticket is

£149 adult and 127 for a child.

I hope this makes sense. Any tips would be great :thumbsup2

Do they still offer free magical express? For people staying at Disney.

Hi Michelle - yes there is still Free Magical Express

We have the 10 day MYW tickets with water park option/hopper/non expiry.

Find them very good because we do not visit the Disney parks excessively and the tickets so far have lasted us 2 holidays and we still have 4 theme park/3 WP days left.
I think they are suitable if you want to spread the use over more than one holiday.

Bought from Maple Leaf.

The 10 day MYW if I am reading correctly does it give you 6 entitlements to other parks so we could have 2 days at TL and 1 day at BB? I have never used these tickets before?

The 10 day MYW ticket is the best one for us. Thanks Johnny :thumbsup2

It is complicated. This holiday is on the cheaper side than before. All we are interested in is Disney, MNSSHP and water parks. We may save our £200 for US and put that towards spending money.

The other option is do we stay at a hotel and pay the ridiculous onsite prices or do we find a cheap villa in Indian Creek and cook bfast and dinner. I am thinking this may save us money or having the car and villa may be just as much as staying onsite and eating. :confused3

A villa option makes sense, but guess it depends on whether you really want the expense of hiring a car.
It's the insurance, CDW/SLI etc that bump up the price of car rental.
However, the plus point is you do get the freedom to travel around Orlando easier without having to rely on buses.

Personally we have always opted for the villa because of the extra room and privacy - plus Josh isn't really one for eating in restaurants and with so many available you can get good deals.
The important thing when looking at a villa is to get one the right size for your needs, for example there are only 3 of us so we would be daft getting a big 5 bedroomed home that would be more expensive and too big.
You can also take a few things with you that saves you having to buy when you arrive in Orlando, such as refuse bags/washing powder tablets etc - a lot of the expense from grocery shopping when staying in a villa comes from buying things like this that you can't eat!

I would give US a miss as you really want to do Disney and you will save some £ in the process.

Guys checking this thread out as you are giving some excellent tips :)
